Bug#740953: [xserver-xorg-video-nouveau]: No devices detected. (anymore)

This is a rather bold statement, considering that the package still
works for most users.

xserver-xorg-video-nouveau work fine with any kernel (tested 3.12, 3.13,
 3.14) with this option disabled

 # CONFIG_X86_SYSFB is not set

When the nouveau kernel module is loaded, any conflicting framebuffer
drivers are (supposed to be) removed. Check your dmesg if that is the
case for you.

Cheers,
   Sven

Bug#742436: src:xutils-dev: Do not Build-Depend on cpp-4.7

2014-03-23 Thread Christian Svensson
Package: src:xutils-dev
Version: 7.7+2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

The earliest GCC targeting 'or1k', packaged for Debian, is 4.8.
Depending on cpp-4.7 in this case makes the package not buildable.

May I suggest depending on cpp (=4.7) or something like that?

Regards,
Christian

No, there's a reason we use 4.7 and not a newer version.

Julien

Can I ask for reason why not to enable also xvmc?
