There are already multiple bugs opened with this issue, no need to add a new one. Bug#931555: light-locker does not show lightdm greeting screen when the X server recovers its DPMS state from standby to normal
Package: light-locker Source: light-locker Version: 1.8.0-3 Severity: normal On Debian 10 Xfce desktop, when the Xserver switch its DPMS state to standby, susped, or off, the light-locker steals the control on the screen on vt7. But no matter what key I press, the light-locker doesn't show lightdm greeting screen. Without light-locker, pressing the shift key toggles the screen state from standby to normal. Under Debian 9 Xfce environment, light-locker 1.7.0-3 shows the lightdm greeting screen when I press the shift key.
