Dear Debian lightdm maintainers,
It seems that Debian's lightdm is stuck in v1.26. According to lightdm
upstream at https://github.com/canonical/lightdm/releases , the new
v1.30.0 has been available since 2019. Please package the new release.
According to
https://sources.debian.org/src/lightdm/1.26.0-7/debian/watch/ , the
debian/watch file explicitly embedded the 1.26 string in the version
string, which doesn't make much sense. Please fix this version watching
scheme as well. I believe it is not Debian's intention to only monitor
the 1.26.x series.
