RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Store and Forward w/JunkMail Question

2003-02-12 Thread Keith Johnson
How would SpamReview work in an ISP environment if you held mail for all
your domains in one folder. In that, you wanted your customers to go
into a central location and look at just their spam not others. This is
why we chose ROUTETO.

Since late last year we have had our entire setup with
 virtual hosted domains with
No Mail Relay. We are going to change our relay mode to
 'relay for addresses' to
filter email for about 10 or more Exchange Servers (thus,
 store and
forward). However, we are going to still require all our other
domains to SMTP Auth to us. My question is, with JunkMail,
 does all
the filters and commands work just like they do under
 domains hosted
on the IMail server itself. Previously, we always used
 the RouteTo a
mailbox (same domain) for a 'little' admin to look at the
 spam email
and thus forward it on to the necessary person, however,
 we won't be
able to do that anymore with these domains since the
 domain isn't on
the box. We were thinking of creating a bogus.com domain
 and RouteTo
there. Thanks for allowing me to ramble here, just trying
 to see if
I missed anything. I believe the Declude Virus should be
 fine with
this as well. Thank you for the info.

RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Store and Forward w/JunkMail Question

2003-02-12 Thread Keith Johnson
John,
If I did use the ROUTETO in a store and forward senario, could I forward it to
an email address on that Exchange Domain? For example, if I have a customer called
domain.com who has Exchange. I then tell him to setup an account on his Exchange
Server called spammail, then in my configs I RouteTO spam mail to a user called
[EMAIL PROTECTED], thus he could review his spam on his Exchange Server in one
place.

You can do this, but only with v1.67 (the latest beta) or later. With
previous versions, COPYTO and ROUTETO would only work with local domains.

SpamReview is for the administrator or some one who has access to the
