RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Why is "FROM" Header wrong?
>> the de facto standard is to have a space after the colon in all Internet headers. << There IS space after the colon - do you mean a space after between the quote and the less-than symbol? Sorry, you are correct (I hate variable spaced fonts...). In this case, the problem is that there is no space after the quote and before the less-than symbol. -Scott --- Declude JunkMail: The advanced anti-spam solution for IMail mailservers. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] Why is "FROM" Header wrong?
this email failed "This E-mail has headers consistent with spam [4000100f]."? Does Declude want a space after the quote? That is exactly what Declude wants. Although the space is technically valid, the de facto standard is to have a space after the colon in all Internet headers. -Scott --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] Why is FROM header wrong?
>What is "bad" about > > "VeriSign, Inc."<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > >Is it the missing space between the " and the < or is it that it should >not be quoted at all? It's the missing space, which will cause it to fail the SPAMHEADERS test. This is technically valid, but it's quite likely that mail clients will not be able to process it properly. And, it's very common in spam. -Scott --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list.
