[Declude.Virus] Which version of AVG to use?

2004-07-27 Thread M Pilletere
Hi,
I have been testing the trial version of AVG7 Professional on my win2000
server.

When I went to purchase I see this statement from Grisoft: AVG Professional
Single Edition does not support Windows NT4/2000/2003 Servers or the
AVGADMIN network administration tool.

So I was wondering which version is used by everyone and/or if this is
something new or only a ploy to get you to up to the network version.

Thanks

I hate answering my own post and appearing dumb, but.

I should have looked farther down the page where the server edition is
listed.

Sorry for the post.

[Declude.Virus] Which version

2003-06-05 Thread Dan Shadix
I went to get the latest version and remembered why I hadn't downloaded 1.70. It's
listed as a beta with 1.65 as the latest release version. I'm using 1.66i18. I don't
remember what the problem was that prompted me to download the interim version but it
was something I thought was important at the time.

So what version should I be using? Is the web page just out of date?

That is correct. 1.65 is the latest released version; 1.70 is the latest
beta version.

I'm using 1.66i18. I don't remember what the problem was that prompted me

The web page is definitely not out of date.  v1.66 was a beta version;
v1.66i18 was an interim release (designed to be used until the next beta).

I would recommend using 1.70 (or waiting for the next released version,
which will hopefully be ready in the next week or two).

How do you tell which version of Declude that you are running?

You can type \IMail\Declude -diag (*exactly* like that) from a command
prompt, and it will display the version you are running.

The only reason for the *exactly* is that some people for some reason
have multiple copies of the Declude.exe file, and only the
\IMail\Declude.exe file will run.
