 Jeremy

Take a look at my site as to what I did with it
  http://192.168.1.3/gadgets/electronic/Hivoltage.htm

I'm dying to see what high voltage device you're controlling
with a pin on your parallel port ...

but this is an unroutable IP address. :-(

is there one outside your intranet we can get to from out
 here?

 thanks

[DUG]: setting of parallel port pins in nt

2000-08-18 Thread Siegfried Kirchmair

Hi,

Has anybody written some code for nt which can set a couple of pins
on the parallel port?

It is no problem with 95/98 but nt doesn't let you write stuff to the
appropriate address.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Hi.

NT DOES let you write to the approp. address, BUT it still controls it, and
doesnt do anything with the instructionsfrom what I understand.
BUT I registred TVicPort, there is a shareware version also, from
http://www.greymatter.co.uk/gmWEB/items/00017157.HTM
It has a device driver for NT and 95/98 and on OCX with it. It is really
good, and worth every $$.

I wanted to do the same thing as you, i.e. set a pin hi or low on the LPT
port.
Take a look at my site as to what I did with it
http://192.168.1.3/gadgets/electronic/Hivoltage.htm

If I can be of anymore help, just email me privatly

Cheers, Jeremy Coulter
