[Bug 61004] Eye of Gnome prints a black page when printing tiff files in edgy

2006-09-18 Thread discord
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: eog

I have tried printing from two different printers an hp psc 2355 and a
brother hl 1440. Both produce the same result when printing from eog. I
think it may be any file I would try to print from eog but I'd have to
test that. I'm not sure if this affects other people or not maybe
somebody running edgy could test also.

[Bug 61007] moving panel launcher erases details

2006-09-18 Thread Dana Olson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I right-clicked on my panel, added a launcher to launch vncviewer, set
and icon and a name.

Then I clicked it and dragged it to reposition it on my panel. After
letting go of the mouse button, the icon turns into the default question
mark icon.

Right clicking on it and going to the properties of the launcher reveal
that the command, comment, icon, and name have all been wiped.

To make sure I was not imagining this, I tried again with a launcher for
Azureus, and it happened again.

[Bug 47932] Re: files renamed to be hidden do not get their icon updated on remote FS view

2006-09-18 Thread Killercow
Ok, i did a quick test.

Creating a file does what is expected, it creates the file in nautilus with a
nice content displaying thumbnail.
Renaming it to a hidden file however, does not remove the file from the view,
but leaves the file name as it was clickable.

An improvement over 5.10 is that it now can be clicked, and nautlius
will magically open the hidden file instead of the visible filename. (so
the underlying link is being updated)

Right, your sidebar is configured in a way which make the categories
button are stacked and it takes some place. That bug is slightly
confusing now, how would you retitle it? Do you want to have the option
to move it to the right? Have it by default on the right?

immediately or on the next launch (this occurs random, for example i can
run rhytmbox for a couple of times and after 5-10 tries it don't

[Bug 60156] Re: migrate imap4 accounts automatically to imap

2006-09-18 Thread Daniel Tschernatsch
I consider this as breakage - not wishlist, because i can't use shared
mailaccounts from cyrus mail servers anymore. I have to use thunderbird
for now :(

Please recompile this with imap4 and don't make people switch to less
integrated programs.

fixed with the new fontconfig update, you may have to reconfigure the
fontconfig package)?

[Bug 59989] Re: Entering incorrect password for Evolution CalDAV calendar crashes keyring-daemon

2006-09-18 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thanks for your bug. The crash report has no backtrace. Does it happen every
time you enter an icorrect password? Maybe you could get a backtrace using gdb?
- start your session
- gdb -p $(pidof gnome-keyring-daemon)
(gdb) continue
... get the crash
(gdb) thread apply all bt

and copy that to a comment. Having the backtrace with a debug build
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash) of gnome-keyring would
be better. Let we know if having a debug package to download make that
easier for you. What archicture do you use?

Additionally, If the problem is only with the OK and cancel buttons, why
has the tick icon been removed too? I mean, why does the liferea menu
have to look this bad?

[Bug 59755] Re: python-gst conflicts with python-gst0.10

2006-09-18 Thread Sebastian Dröge
According to upstream the correct way to use it is:
import pygst;
pygst.require('0.10');
import gst;

if you don't use the pygst.require() 0.8 will (or should) be used as
default. If it isn't used by default that's a bug in gst-python.

[Bug 8125] Re: username for smb printer is not shown on printer properties

2006-09-18 Thread Till Kamppeter
I think as soon as the patched version of the gnome-cups-manager is in
Edgy we can close this bug. Patching CUPS wouls not only expose sensible
data but also make CUPS too much patched, so that incompatibilities with
other tools can happen.

So I reject it for CUPS and leave it open only for the gnome-cups-
manager.

[Bug 61071] [Edgy] Spinner flickers

Public bug reported:

With epiphany_0.5.1-4_i386, the spinner animation seems to have a blank
frame at the end. Thus, after the bold leaves have completed one turn,
nothing is displayed for a short period of time. Then the animation
starts from scratch.

[Bug 60424] Re: GTK default icons used in several places

2006-09-18 Thread Andreas Nilsson
mpt: ok, I trust you on this.

David: they were removed because they don't really belong in that
package and I was unsure about the metaphors. Hopefully the iconfactory-
dude will fix these in human-icon-theme, as they seem to be priority 10
in http://daniel.holba.ch/ubuntu/ic . I want to keep tango-icon-theme
and gnome-icon-theme as close to upstream if it's ok and we're going to
fix it there soon.
