[Bug 78524] Re: Podcast download mechanism isn't robust enough and often fails

2007-01-11 Thread Trouilliez vincent
What version of Ubuntu do you use?

The latest (Edgy). I am also testing Feisty and AFAICR it's not better.

Do you have an example of podcast where you got the problem already?

I have a variety of podcasts and they all have this problem. Again, the
problem isn't wit the podcast server, but my ISP/internet connexion. In
the middle of the night, the podcasts download just fine, but in the
evening, that is the rush hours ;-), it gets more challenging ! ;-)

Here are some feeds anyway (France Inter, Europe1, The BBC, LUG radio):
http://radiofrance-podcast.net/podcast/rss_10212.xml
http://www.europe1.fr/podcast/connaissance.jsp
http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/rmhttp/downloadtrial/worldservice/digitalplanet/rss.xml
http://www.lugradio.org/episodes.ogg.rss

Could you try to get a log of what is happening when it hangs with rhythmbox
 -d?

Sure. It will have to wait this evening though, as it's only 9h30 right
now and it works fine, not much traffic on the French network at this
time of day ;-)

Ok, but that cannot be due to that hal patch. Any idea what else
changed?

Could you please do a tango icon first. All mail icons are currently

mail-forward and just adjust the arrow. That would mean less work. Later
we could do the human styles.

[Bug 15046] Re: Gnome-pilot does not start by default

2007-01-11 Thread Matt Davey
Murray says I can't sync, but it's not clear whether this is just an
example of the known Edgy problems (i.e. with gnome-
pilot-2.0.14-0Ubuntu2) or something else. He could try installing the
packages I rolled (see gnome bug 365181, comment 14) and see if that
fixes matters.

Failing that, it's the usual triage: kill off any running gpilotd. Run
it in a terminal window. Likewise for gpilotd-control-applet if you
need to run that. Then try to sync and report messages displayed at the
terminal.

[Bug 34699] Re: Huge mem leak

2007-01-11 Thread Martijn van Vliet
Right.
Sorry guys, the spam load i got during the holidays did me remove some legimit
mail too...

All looks fine here for gamin.
The leak was not an issue anymore when i upgraded to dapper.

I remember the cpu was still bumpy on gamin though in the beginning of
my dapper time, but i think have not seen that problem for a long time
now.

engine to make it work. Closing the bug, that's not an Ubuntu bug. Feel
free to use the support tracker for getting help on how to install it

Moving to gtk and cc'ing Garnacho since he is the one who hacked on
