[Bug 120728] Re: Evolution doesn't remember online/offline mode in Feisty
I have exactly the same issue. This is actually making evolution less stable than it used to be in Edgy (and Dapper). As soon as I connect to a network, evolution tries to sync with Exchange. However it will take me some time to set up the VPN. By the time the VPN comes up, Evolution is already trying to connect and it will hang until it is killed. I've tried to wait to see if it recovers, but even after an hour it still hangs. This is exactly why I used the --offline when I start Evolution, but that seems to be ignored when the network comes online. I think that if --offline is specified, it should not try to change things automatically when network connect / disconnect. -- Evolution doesn't remember online/offline mode in Feisty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120728 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 54091] Re: Font rendering problem in Gecko based applications
I installed Ubuntu Feisty and we still need to add MOZ_DISABLE_PANGO=0 in /etc/environment in order to properly view Urdu pages. I don't think it is a bug, because it is a decission made by the Ubuntu developers to disable pango in Firefox shipped with Ubuntu. I installed Debian Etch and using iceweasel 2.0.3 which works fine without adding anything anywhere. I do not notice any significant performance issues on Debian iceweasel where pango support is enabled by default. One possible solution for the problem is that when a user installs any urdu related language page, or the font ttf-nafees Ubuntu automatically enables pango support. However with pango Ubuntu's firefox is really very slow even a non tech guy like me can tell the difference between iceweasel and ubuntu's firefox without doing any speed or performance tests. -- Font rendering problem in Gecko based applications https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/54091 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for epiphany-browser in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Confirming this bug. Fast reproduction: 1) lose game 2) pause/unpause 3) press ctrl-h until all hints are shown In most (not all) cases you get a high score. I assume this bug has an Importance of Low as it does not prevent you from playing, is only reproducable with direct effort and the bug is more cosmetic. [Bug 107025] Re: Multipage printing issue using even and odd.
I see this bug is still marked as need info. Peter Russel seems to describe the issue clearly, and I also just ran into the same issue trying to print a long document using pages per sheet = 2. I want to print on both sides of the paper using a printer that doesn't support duplex printing. Using the definitions as: Page: logical page as defined in the document Sheet: physical piece of paper as loaded in the printer If I have an 8 page document that I want to print using 2 sheets, I want: Pages per sheet: 2 Then selecting + Pages per sheet: 2 + Only print: Odd sheets I expect page 1 page 2 to be printed on sheet 1, page 5 6 to be printed on sheet2. Now I turn the sheets upside down and reload them in the printer, and select: + Pages per sheet: 2 + Only print: Even sheets I expect page 34 on sheet 1 and page 78 on sheet 2. Is there anything else that can be clarified? Please, I don't want rumours that Ubuntu users needlessly kill trees because of deficient two-sided printing support to start spreading ;-) Regards Neilen -- Multipage printing issue using even and odd. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107025 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I noticed that in some cases it doesn't change the tags at all. at first the change can be seen in the library, but after a rescan of the folder the tags ar back. i tried changing the permission for those files, but with no success i'm talking about *.mp3 files i don't think that they are corupted or something, because i'm talking about ~20-30% of all songs that i tried to edit, and they sound ok. -- Tag editing in rhythmbox strips all tags completely https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106739 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
