[Bug 84007] Re: Cannot edit audio profiles without closing the list
The problem in Gutsy is, that you can't select pipelines in sound-juicer which include xingmux. They simply will not appear. This is the bug, I think. [Bug 179408] Syntax highlighting has problems with HTML script-Tag
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit Hello, first of all, thank you for reading this minor bug report. I found a small glitch in gedit's html/php syntax highlighting. Consider these two examples: ---Example 1, works like it should--- html head !-- some tags here -- script src=... type=... language=.../script /head body !-- some other html tags here -- /body /html ---Example 2, doesn't work like it should--- html head !-- some tags here -- script src=... type=... language=... / /head body !-- some other html tags here -- /body /html ---End of both examples--- The difference lies in the script-Tag. The version from example 2 is valid xml. Though it might by invalid html, I'm not sure about this. The problem is that gedit's syntax highlighting doesn't recognize the tag correctly. Up until the occurrence of the script ... /-tag syntax highlighting works like expected. But the rest of the text won't be highlighted correctly. Thank you for your patience. My best wishes to you for the upcomming new year. [Bug 179413] Group Properties Window Doesn't Show Group Members
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-desktop-environment Going to System - Administration - Users and Groups, then clicking Manage Groups button will bring up a list groups on the system. Clicking any of those groups and clicking the Properties button shows the Group Properties window with a checkable list of Group Members. However, users that are members of the group are not checked, so there is no way to know if a user is currently a member of a group. Putting a check next to a user name, then clicking OK, and bringing up the properties window again shows the user is still unchecked. On a side note, the old way of adding users to groups was much better. In the Users and Groups window, there should be a tab for Users and a tab for Groups. It is, after all, named Users and Groups, so you should be able to edit groups without having to open up another window inside the User editor. [Bug 179413] Re: Group Properties Window Doesn't Show Group Members
I can see that it works only if the user name appears in the /etc/group file near the group name, but are not considered GIDs. For example, in my Ubuntu Box the user 'andrea' is considered a member of the group 'admin' because in my /etc/group I have a line like this: admin:x:110:andrea I'm also member of the group 'andrea' because in my /etc/passwd my usar GID is the same of the GID of my group one: /etc/group: andrea:x:1000: /etc/passwd: andrea:x:1000:1000:Andrea Corbellini,,,:/home/andrea:/bin/bash In synthesis, it works partially on Hardy. Please, tell me if you can confirm this happens also in Gutsy. ** Changed in: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Triaged -- Group Properties Window Doesn't Show Group Members https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/179413 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for meta-gnome2 in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 62430] Re: rhythmbox doesn't do anything with .pls given on the command line
Hi, I think I'm having the same problem (I'm too lazy to read all the previous comments). I wan't to select a di.fm playlist file in my browser and I expect that rhythmbox (or any other player) load the playlist and start playing it (that is, a single click means start playing the playlist). Instead the following happens: 1) go to di.fm, click in the playlist 2) firefox asks me to open rhythmbox, because it's associated with the pls file 3) rhythmbox starts and nothing happens, no playlist loaded, no playlist played (it even starts by default in the songs section, instead of the radio section) 4) if I click the playlist again, firefox asks me again to open rhythmbox 5) this time, rhythmbox adds the playlist. 6) then, I can click in some new entry and the music starts. I'm using gutsy here, updated from feisty. -- rhythmbox doesn't do anything with .pls given on the command line https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/62430 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 178402] Re: [hardy alpha 2] missing language error
I saw this twice: first on an upgrade from Gutsy, but I've had to reinstall because that upgrade went totally wrong (couldn't login anymore at some point, no idea what was going on). Anyway, I've just had the same problem on a fresh Hardy alpha 2 install. I don't remember exactly what I did, but I think the only things I did were to install a second language pack (Dutch) next to English, and to install the Dutch keyboard layout (which is useless since no hardware exists that uses that except typewriters, but that's for another report), and then reboot and try to log in again. Perhaps I changed the default language from English (US) to something else and then back again as well. I'm going to check if this is fixed by the suggested fix and I'll report back. -- [hardy alpha 2] missing language error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/178402 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 179498] Appointment not changed when end time only in recurring appointment changed.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution When modifying a recurring appointment in evolution, the appointment time is not modified if editing only the end time. If one edits the start time and the end time, both are changed. However, if the end time alone is edited, nothing is changed. Running Ubuntu Gutsy, Evolution 2.12.1. [Bug 111040] Re: compiz can't drag window thumbnails to other workspaces
I've experienced this problem in Feisty but I didn't reproduce this problem on any of the 10+ computers that I tested under Gutsy, can someone reproduce that problem in Gutsy? If not, I would say that this problem only exist in Feisty. -- compiz can't drag window thumbnails to other workspaces https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/111040 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
