[Bug 373111] Re: Keyboard 'Custom Shortcut' does not retain environment

2009-05-13 Thread Cédric Jeanneret
Hello,

I discovered this one a bit later after I opened the bug.
Fact is, when we use another launcher than the default one (which has no tab
completion...) like gmrun, environment isn't kept as well... so it's not only
for custom shortcuts, and maybe it's the same problem source
(gnome-setting-manager).

Thanks for your answers. Should I post it on bugs.gnome.org ?

Regards,

C.

[Bug 375838] [NEW] doesn't show event recurrence preview in some case

2009-05-13 Thread Shahar Or
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Dear friends,

1. create an event for the 20th of a certain month, at 12:00 AM which lasts for
0 time.
2. set up recurrence for it to happen every 1 month on the 20th forever.

There aren't any dates in bold in the preview.

I think that each 20th should be bold, don't you agree?

Many blessings.

[Bug 228721] Re: [Hardy] Searching youtube videos runs 100% cpu forever.

2009-05-13 Thread Adrianus
Hi,
I suspect that this has to do with the fact that if you launch totem from the
system menu, then it will not honour the proxy settings. When we open a
terminal first and launch totem from that then YouTube plugin works.
This is also happening with googleearth

A work around that I did is to edit the launcher. I use

[Bug 375800] Re: Evolution in Ubuntu 9.10 crashes

2009-05-13 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal
with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report
a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport
in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus
and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report
you wish to submit.

If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using
/usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a
terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report.
I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

thank you for your work on this update, some comments though:
- the deskbar-applet.preinst version is the one where the package has been
transitioned to the other python tools, which is ubuntu will be 2.27.1-0ubuntu1

- small detail but there is no need to summarize the maintainer change in the

[Bug 375892] [NEW] -dev package has been renamed in debian

2009-05-13 Thread Laurent Bigonville
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gucharmap

Hi,

It looks like the -dev packages has been renamed in debian from
libgucharmap-dev to libgucharmap2-dev.

This could cause some packages to FTBFS, souldn't ubuntu rename the
package too?

[Bug 374101] Re: Audio projects are not done at all

2009-05-13 Thread Uqbar
I did what has been requested (debug transcipt is attached).
I simply loaded a pre-made audio project.
After inserting the empty medium, GNOME popped up a dialog asking for actions
and I hit the cancel button.
Then Burn and nothing happened after 15 minutes: Normalizing tracks with
the moving progress bar.
Then I canceled the action and got the medium ejected.

[Bug 374770] Re: Cannot configure more than two locations in the proxy settings in Ubuntu 9.04

2009-05-13 Thread Jairo Sanchez
Follow this steps to reproduce it:
- Leave the default connection with Direct Internet Connection
- Create a location named test with an http proxy and select Use the same
proxy for all protocols
- Create a third location with a socks proxy without the option Use the same
proxy for all protocols

Now when changing from the test location to the third location the
proxy configuration changes erratically.

Regards,
Jairo.

[Bug 368508] Re: don't crash on incorrect values or errors

2009-05-13 Thread Luke Anderson
@Bob:
First, to fix this error type:-
sudo sed -ie s/^\s*main.*$//g /etc/apt/sources.list

It is important that the first line you type is all on one line (I think
that launchpad may have cut it in half), instead type these four lines
but make sure that you DONT SPLIT ANY OF THE LINES (Each time there is a
new line the Terminal reads that as a new command).

# LINE 1
SRCLINE=deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ jaunty-proposed restricted main
multiverse universe
# ALL ON ONE LINE!!!

# LINE 2
echo $SRCLINE | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list

# LINE 3
sudo apt-get update

# LINE 4
sudo aptitude -t jaunty-proposed install libical0

Also my apologies, I should have anticipated this.
