Public bug reported: After upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04, I'm finding that files transcoded from FLAC to Ogg Vorbis by apps won't play on my Android phone. Both banshee and soundconverter are showing this problem; files I've transcoded by hand with oggenc or gst-launch (with the following command) aren't: gst-launch filesrc location=foo.flac ! flacdec ! audioconvert ! vorbisenc quality=0.6 ! oggmux ! filesink location=foo.ogg I initially submitted a bug report with Android (http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=17260), but it's increasingly looking like a gstreamer issue. Strange. Firefox should be started in English if you set LC_MESSAGES as I suggested. Typo, maybe? ;-) gedit is another thing. This has apparently now been fixed upstream. The patch on the upstream ticket solves the reported problem for a Fedora user. I have rebased the upstream patch for Ubuntu's version of gnome-keyring, 2.92.92.is.2.32.1-0ubuntu2. This involved replacing references to gck with gp11. Could someone who knows what they're doing (I don't!) help me backport the patch properly? I reverse my last statement about missing files: It is all about missing files: gnome-user-guide installs broken links in a german environment: language-pack-gnome-de-base when i delete this links yelp no more segfaults. IMO it is a bug that yelp segfaults. It only cannot search man pages. Same problem with Ubuntu 11.04 (Unity). Resolution 1024x768 is fine but higher resolutions result in surrounding black space (top and right). The top menu bar, however, seems to be rendered correctly. This started happening for me. Using Ubuntu 11.04. Everything worked fine after the update and used ftp and sftp connections all the time. It seemed to break after I installed the Thunar file manager but I can't confirm that was the cause for certain. Connect to server just has the custom location option. Existing bookmarks give the error Nautilus cannot handle 'sftp' locations. Get the error Natilus cannot handle 'network' locations when clicking on network. and Nautilus cannot handle 'computer' locations. when clicking on the computer icon. It's like Nautilus doesn't know about anything except normal file locations. Since then, the option for chrome has disappeared, and 11.04 now insists my default browser is firefox. Using the chrome set as default option has no effect either.
