[Bug 1247317] [NEW] Document Viewer help references non-existent File menu

2013-11-01 Thread skierpage
Public bug reported:

Document Viewer doesn't have any menus, they've migrated to its Gear
icon.

But the help for it, I think /usr/share/help/C/evince/ , is full of
references to Click File ▸ Print. These are all completely incorrect in
Ubuntu, there's no File menu.

(And the Unity HUD doesn't find any of the commands in the gear menu, so
printing a PDF is sad times, but I digress)

[Bug 746160] Re: evince do not have print button on natty

2013-11-01 Thread skierpage
The HUD doesn't work for evince (bug 1088778 ?) , and the help for
evince clearly states in many places to click a non-existent File
Print (bug 1247317). Together they make the absence of a Print button a
bigger issue.

[Bug 1157654] Re: Sound recorder does not work

2013-11-01 Thread Raymond
did recorder only record mono ?

are there any difference recoding mono or stereo in auadcity ?

the capture volume also has 30dB gain in addition to int Mic boost

what are the percentage and dB in the output of

pactl list sources

when you change the slider in capture screen in gnome sound preference

0.040| 0.000) D: [pulseaudio] alsa-mixer.c: Path
analog-input-microphone-internal (Internal Microphone), direction=2,
priority=89, probed=yes, supported=yes, has_mute=yes, has_volume=yes,
has_dB=yes, min_volume=0, max_volume=3, min_dB=-17.25, max_dB=60

do these values match the above dB values from 0% to 100% ?

 Title:
Nautilus FTP causes 'Unexpected end of stream' when connecting

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
   Confirmed

 Bug description:
   Binary package hint: nautilus

Using Nautilus to connect to my web space provider, I get

   Could not open location ''
   Unexpected end of stream

This happens may 90% of occasions I try to connect.

This started happening with Ubuntu 10.04, did not happen ever with
   8.04

This is a serious bug as I cannot access my server space soon through
   Nautilus.

The ftp command in the CLI works with no problem so its not a issue
   inherent to the target site.

I believe others have reported this problem - or something similar,
but could not track the bug down in Launchpad.
