entry, that leads to a system hanging out boot, it should send you to a
debug shell or friendly recovery instead

Evolution uses outdated ClientLogin to authenticate with Google's servers, 
which does not work anymore, even with access for less secure apps enabled. 
Instead, evolution returns with an error like this one:
Unable to open address book

This address book cannot be opened.  This either means that an incorrect
URI was entered, or the server is unreachable.
