[Bug 231502] Re: Passphrase dialog doesn't accept input

2018-07-21 Thread gf
Hello Micah,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with the seahorse
package. You made this bug report in 2008 and there have been several versions
of Ubuntu since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run
the following (only once):
apport-collect 231502
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.

[Bug 1782943] [NEW] Network Manager - OpenVPN - Zombie Processes After Disconnection

2018-07-21 Thread João Mateus Paiva Dalvi
Public bug reported:

Problem happens on 18.04, fresh install, updated to the latest packages.
Package is network-manager-openvpn version 1.8.2
OpenVPN Network Manager applet keeps zombie openvpn processes after
disconnection or connection loss. This odd behavior makes user experience
unstable, needing manual "kill -9" of dozens of processes or system reboot, as
these processes keep trying to claim tun0 and establish connections again,
sometimes making new connections attempts impossible.
This problem is errant, and hard to replicate exactly the same way again.
Sometimes you see plenty of zombie processes writing to /var/log/syslog,
sometimes not.
This problem is already solved upstream (version 1.8.3+ it seems), so a
backport of network-manager-openvpn from cosmic, wich has its 1.8.4 version,
should solve the problem.

2018-07-21 Thread Perlover
Hi,

I have Linux Mint 18.3 (it's based on Ubuntu 16.04)
I am about UDisks 2.1.7 (gnome-disks)

When i try to make LUKS partition in USB flash drive (SSD Samsung 1Tb) i
regulary got crash
When i run from 'root' (sudo -H gnome-disks) user i got crash again but i have
core file. I got backtrace here (full log in attached file)

I hope this will help to understand this bug and to patch it. It's
annoying users (i am sure) :( I cannot make partition through standard
utility of disks for Linux Mint.

[Bug 1782347] Re: [radeon] GDM3 fails to load without nomodeset

2018-07-21 Thread zanonmark
Sorry, no improvements.

I booted the live cd in single mode, modified /etc/gdm3/custom.conf as
follows, then exited the single mode and continued the normal boot
process.

1) First attempt:
#WaylandEnable=false

I can see the purple background for a moment, then I'm sent back to text
mode and the mouse arrow keeps flashing.

2) Second attempt:
#WaylandEnable=false
#AutomaticLoginEnable=true
#AutomaticLogin=ubuntu

This time I can't even see the purple background.

All boots were made without 'nomodeset'.

Thanks,
MZ

[Bug 1781826] Re: System logout when turn off the screen or suspend Ubuntu 18.04

** Description changed:

When turn off the screen or suspend, and resume the system is logged
out, this mostly happens with nvidia driver (390 or 396). I noticed that
when close the lid and reopen the system is still working and all of a
sudden it appears a login screen and when login all programs as killed
as it was logged out. And most of times after login it locks and prompts
  an unlock screen.

I tried to switch to nouveau driver and the problem seems not to happen,
but that leaves me with a poor performance in terms of graphics.

I tried to reset the setting in dconf using dconf-editor to reset the
system recursively, at the beginning seems to be solved but it gets
  back.

- I need to mention that I faced the same problem when using budgie
- flavor, I thought that it might be a budgie problem but it appears to be
- a gnome problem since budgie is based on gnome and on both the problem
- happens when using Nvidia drivers.

[Bug 1770502] Re: Brasero hangs when burning cds

2018-07-21 Thread Ronald
had the same problem. Like Michael wrote
/usr/bin/cdrdao - set to 4711, /usr/bin/wodim to4711 and /usr/bin/growisofs
0755 made it work

cd /usr/bin
sudo chmod -v 4711 cdrdao
udo chmod -v 4711 wodim
sudo chmod -v 0755 growisofs
