[Bug 2011806] Re: [lunar] Snaps don't launch due to cgroup issue

2023-04-21 Thread 3vi1
Can confirm it affects KDE users as well - discovered this while trying
to launch Discord for the first time in a long time. The snap will only
launch from a terminal, not the shell ("not a snap cgroup error").
Flatpak version launches from shell just fine.

recommend xdg-desktop-portal-gnome), or if this would not work as

[Bug 2000743] Re: kinetic: UI unresponsive while disk op dialog showing.

2023-04-21 Thread Anthony Loeppert
Just updated to 23.04 and this behavior is gone. Now when I click
another window while the pie-chart dialog is showing, it dismisses the
dialog.

Kinda weird it needs to dismiss prior to changing windows (because it
takes one more click to actually switch windows) but much better
behavior than before.

[Bug 2006059] Re: systemd refuses to start secondary Xorg logins [org.gnome.Shell@x11.service: Skipped due to 'exec-condition'.]

2023-04-21 Thread Timo Aaltonen
Hello Jurgen, or anyone else affected,

Accepted gdm3 into jammy-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/42.0-1ubuntu7.22.04.2 in a few
hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been
performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed-
jammy to verification-done-jammy. If it does not fix the bug for you,
please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-
failed-jammy. In either case, without details of your testing we will
not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s)
fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in
-proposed for a minimum of 7 days.

[Bug 2017097] Re: [raspi] GNOME Shell runs at 30 FPS unless the CPU is being stressed

2023-04-21 Thread Daniel van Vugt
** Description changed:

+ [ Impact ]
+
On a Raspberry Pi 400, GNOME Shell runs at 30 FPS unless the CPU is
being stressed in which case it becomes a smooth 60 FPS. Seems like a
  frequency scaling issue.

+ [ Workaround ]
+
+ Add this to /etc/environment:
