[Bug 826806] Re: when attaching a usb based music player to a usb port banshee does not open
I confirm this bug too. When I attached my usb music player nautilus *automatically* (no suggestion box) opens to display the files. Only when I open rythmbox (counter to the testcases' banhsee) does the player appear in the devices. Have you attempted to install cdda2wav ? I had a similar problem ran sudo apt-get install cdda2wav in terminal.
