[Bug 510000] Re: Eye of GNOME does not remember page size settings
Sorry, I've just received a notification and saw that you asked me for information. I can't test it since I use Gentoo now. In Gentoo there is no such option and changing of page size is done in different manner. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to eog in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/51 Title: Eye of GNOME does not remember page size settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eog/+bug/51/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 510000] [NEW] Eye of GNOME does not remember page size settings
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: eog Eye of GNOME does not remember page size if changed via File - Page settings menu. For example, if I need to print a photo on 10x15 sheet, it is not possible with standard approach. How to reproduce: 1. Open a jpeg file in eog. 2. Select File - Page settings. Change the values and click Apply. 3. Open previous menu again and make sure that settings are NOT applied. 4. If you are not sure if they are applied - print the file and you'll see everything. 5. ??? 6. PROFIT! Expected behaviour: After alteration of page size properties in Page settings menu the choice should be remembered at least until the window is closed. Temporary workaround: Modify page settings on Image parameters tab in Print dialog. [Bug 370541] Re: Jaunty's GDM Autologin doesn't work anymore
New results. Autologin works...mostly. If I shut down the computer using Power button (not long press, just press and quick release), the Welcome to GNOME screen appers. Any other shutdown method (including Reset and accidental loss of power by disconnecting power cord) - works. What else can I try to resolve this? -- Jaunty's GDM Autologin doesn't work anymore https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370541 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 370541] Re: Jaunty's GDM Autologin doesn't work anymore
Current value is 30. Will increasing it to 60 increase start-up time? -- Jaunty's GDM Autologin doesn't work anymore https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370541 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 370541] Re: Jaunty's GDM Autologin doesn't work anymore
This bug affects me too. sudo update-rc.d -f gdm remove sudo update-rc.d gdm defaults did not help. I have a specific issue. I have created Ubuntu-based distribution for my office. On most machines autologin works but on one it does not. All machines were unpacked from the same installation image. It is weird but there is no AutoLogin features in GDM parameters file /etc/gdm/gdm.conf (they are present, but disabled). And autologin is enabled in the GUI, on some machines it works and on one it does not. What files should I submit to help you? -- Jaunty's GDM Autologin doesn't work anymore https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370541 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 370541] Re: Jaunty's GDM Autologin doesn't work anymore
Yes, value 30 probably helped. Maybe that's because the computer experiencing troubles has integrated SiS chipset and video card and I know that SiS chips are very slow. -- Jaunty's GDM Autologin doesn't work anymore https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370541 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 336376] Re: Log off and shutdown missing from 9.04 alpha 5
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 283278 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283278 That is a bug. I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 on one machine, customized it to my needs and then deploy it by moving entire filesystem from machine to machine with tar. I have no shutdown and switch user options in menu on several machines though that damned fast user switch applet is purged. On some machines I have both them. I can't find out what's the reason of disappearing of these icons, but this is the fact. The screenshots are exactly the same as Arch_Parks wrote on 2009-03-02. On my machines I have two users named user and administrator. Administrator doesn't have neither logout nor shutdown options in his menu. User has Log out button, but there is only logout button active - switch user is gray. If I start gnome-session-save, I have possibility to reboot or shutdown - and it works. BUT THERE IS NO ICON IN THE MENU! On the machines where it's all right, both logout and shutdown options are present and work correctly. The bad machines are deployed using tarballs from good ones. Help me, please, I've googled all the internet, but found nothing =( -- Log off and shutdown missing from 9.04 alpha 5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/336376 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
