Public bug reported:

2010-03-21 Thread 1985m...@gmail.com
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gconf

it on top of the ubuntu desktop logo in top right corner of the screen,
message appeared informing that the custom link has been added to the
favourites menu, then user double click on the added link from the menu
but nothing happens, no error message was displayed, no 'opening panel'
panel was launched.

When custom link is added to favourites menu the user should be able to
execute it and open the application.

[Bug 543268] [NEW] gconf-2 Added custom link to Favourites menu does not retain icon and it is displayed with default one.

2010-03-21 Thread 1985m...@gmail.com
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gconf

When user created a new link to executable file, assigned it a new icon
by drag and drop custom graphics(verified on .xpm) and then drag and
drop it on top of the ubuntu desktop logo in top right corner of the
screen, message appeared informing that the custom link has been added
to the favourites menu, then user notice that the added icon is
displayed in inconsistent way to the item displayed in nautilus browser.
Added item in favourites menu was listed with default launcher icon
rather than customised one.

When custom link is added to favourites menu the icon should be retained
and not set to default one.

Added custom link icon is displayed correctly when viewed in nautilus
browser.
