[Bug 1990786] [NEW] File Roller should indicate compression/extraction speed and estimated remaining time
Public bug reported: Hello. I use Linux Mint 20.3 (based on Ubuntu Focal 20.04). This distribution contains the version 3.36.3, via APT. When I compress or extract some file. The program only indicates the total remaining files, but this number is invariable. The progress line doesn't work, no compression/extraction speed or no estimated time remaining are shown either. I think the program should provide useful information in the user interface. [Bug 1990785] [NEW] Extracting files larger than 4 GB doesn't seem to work in .iso
Public bug reported: Hello. I use Linux Mint 20.3 (based on Ubuntu Focal 20.04). This distribution contains the version 3.36.3, via APT. When I try to extract an .iso with large files inside, they are ignored (not even listed) when an iso is opened and its contents are extracted. I have found that files larger than 4 GB generally cause this problem. The program should be able to list and extract all the contents inside an .iso file regardless of its size. The .iso in question were created by using Brasero, on the same distribution. The file system Ext4, and were allowed to Take Ownership of filesystem To reproduce: 1. Create a partition with Disk Utility, and EXT4 file system should be. 2. Enable Take Ownership of filesystem. 3. Start a Live CD and look for the previously created partition. What will happen: Error message appears: The folder contents could not be displayed. You do not have the permissions necessary to view the contents of Adatok . What should happen: Mount the partition! After all, the Live CD therefore is there to save our data!
