[Bug 483335] Re: Rhythmbox 0.12.5 cannot start playback of Last.fm after pausing
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 441444 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/441444 Based on point 6 in Ben Selinger's first comment on 2010-05-25, I found an alternative work around to quitting and restarting Rhythmbox. After stopping playback of a Last.fm station, select a different Last.fm station by double-clicking on it. After a new playlist is displayed in the lower portion of the window, click on Play and the new Last.fm station will start playing. If you want to continue playing a Last.fm station after stopping playback, select a different Last.fm station by double-clicking on it. After a new playlist is displayed in the lower portion of the window, select the original Last.fm station by double-clicking on it. After a new playlist is displayed in the lower portion of the window, click on Play and the original Last.fm station will start playing, although with a new play list. -- Rhythmbox 0.12.5 cannot start playback of Last.fm after pausing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/483335 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 441444 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/441444 I do not think this is a exact duplicate of bug #441444 I only have the problem when trying to Play Last.fm after stopping playing Last.fm. I never have the problem when first opening Rhythmbox and first trying to Play Last.fm. Also, I still have the problem after upgrading to Rhythmbox 0.12.8 on the latest release of Ubuntu 10.4, Lucid Lynx, Beta 2. -- Rhythmbox 0.12.5 cannot start playback of Last.fm after pausing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/483335 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 483335] Re: Rhythmbox 0.12.5 cannot start playback of Last.fm after pausing
Pedro, I entered rhythmbox -D lastfm rhythmbox-debug.txt in Terminal and performed the actions to reproduce the bug in the Music Player window. Since I could not find a file named rhythmbox-debug.txt, I copied and pasted the contents of the Terminal window to a file with that name and attached it to this comment. Please let me if I can do something to provide better information. [Bug 483335] [NEW] Rhythmbox 0.12.5 cannot start playback of Last.fm after pausing
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox Rhythmbox 0.12.5 in Ubuntu 9.10, Karmic Koala, on a Dell Inspiron 1545n displays an error message such as the following every time it tries to restart playback of Last.fm after stopping playback of Last.fm. 'Couldn't start playback http://play.last.fm/user/7add...de632.mp3: Forbidden'. I expected it to restart playback of Last.fm rather than display the error message above. The source package is rhythmbox. The installed version is 0.12.5-0ubuntu5. I work around this problem by quiting the Music Player icon at the top of the screen and restarting Rhythmbox. Only closing the Music Player window and restarting Rhythmbox is not sufficient, since clicking on the Play icon for Last.fm gets the error message above. The first time Rhythmbox tries to restart playback of Last.fm after stopping playback of Last.fm, it also displays the following error message. Search for suitable plugin? The required software to play this file is not installed. You need to install suitable plugins to play media files. Do you want to search for a plugin that supports the selected file? The search will also include software which is not officially supported. Running the search results in the following window. No packages with the requested plugins found. The requested plugins are: text/html decoder. ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Rhythmbox 0.12.5 cannot start playback of Last.fm after pausing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/483335 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
