[Bug 505500] [NEW] Evince crashed while scrolling
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince Achitecture: amd64 Video Card: ATI Radeon Xpress 200m Description:Ubuntu 9.10 Release:9.10 evince: Installed: 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2 Candidate: 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2 Version table: *** 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2 0 500 http://it.archive.ubuntu.com karmic-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://it.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages Expected: I was scrolling a pdf document and after a 3 page scrolling the whole system freezed. The touchpad couldn't work as well as the keyboard and any other key, except the power button. It happens even in other situations and with other applications but this is the only one I could replicate with enough precision. Re: [Bug 450186] Re: metacity crashed with SIGSEGV in pango_ot_info_get()
No unfortunately I cannot reproduce anything related to that. I'm sorry. I'll keep in touch in case the error shows up again. In any case I didn't notice the problem anymore since I updated the distro... On Mon, 2009-10-26 at 18:25 +, Pedro Villavicencio wrote: do you have any specific steps on how to reproduce the issue? [Bug 445354] [NEW] Gnome Power Manager spin down policy freezes Xorg
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager When I upgraded to Karmic Koala version I started noticing an annoying behaviour: while I was working at the computer, suddenly (after 1 to 10 minutes) and regardless of the application I was working with, the Xorg stopped to work and the only solution was to reboot the machine using the power button, since the keyboard was not responding in any way. Even looking a the log files I couldn't determine anything really worth to notice since the crash didn't leave, apparently, anything. I first realize that the package devicekit-power was causing some troubles with a real SPAM on the files; however it seems I solved the problem by disabling the spin down policiy in the power manager, both on AC power and on battery power. Since now (few hours) the problem didn't appear anymore. Maybe the problem is somehow related to the #373306 bug.
