[Bug 1730198] [NEW] Extensions are not shown in the "Extensions → Shell Extensions" section

2017-11-05 Thread Alessandro Viprati
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu/GNOME Software provides a way to install extensions without the
need to access the extensions.gnome.org website.

While extensions are shown in Software with a simple search by "name"
(try typing "pomodoro" or "weather"), them are not shown inside the
"Extensions → Shell Extensions" section.

[Bug 1629600] Re: Installed application from .deb does not appear unless Ubuntu is restarted

2016-10-05 Thread Alessandro Viprati
Problem verified with Google Chrome on Yakkety.
 * install google-chrome-stable package with g-s;
 * close and restart g-s, notice that Google Chrome is not listed under
"installed" apps nor searchable inside g-s;
 * $ pkill gnome-software;
 * start again g-s, now Google Chrome is listed in g-s.

However there is one omore problem: I can launch Google Chrome from g-s,
but I can't remove it. "Remove" button in g-s does nothing.

Launching gnome-software with terminal does nothing.

Removing the ~/.local/share/gnome-software/ worked as workaround.

[Bug 1567845] Re: Cannot mark reviews as useful or not in Software

2016-04-08 Thread Alessandro Viprati
** Description changed:

- package: gnome-software 3.20.1~git20160331.78d1aab-0ubuntu2

  Many applications in Software have reviews written by users. In Ubuntu
Software Center users were able to mark reviews as useful (or not) by selecting
the correct choice in "Was this review useful to you?" under every review.
  Now this is not working anymore.
  First of all, no indications are given if people considered a review useful
or not (see PNG attached, it's the same comment for Inkscape in USC and
Software).
  Every time I choose "Yes" or "No" under a review, the question disappears.
  Closing and launching again Software, the question is again here but without
indications of how many people found it useful.

   = How to reproduce =
   * launch Software
   * select an app with some reviews, then click "Yes" under a review
   * login with SSO
   * then notice that the text "Was this review useful to you?" disappears
   * close and launch again Software
   * select again the same app, then notice the text "Was this review useful to
you?" is back

   = Expected result =
- * If a review has been evaluated by some users, you should read the text "5
of 6 people found this review useful" or similar.
- * Click "Yes" → should appear the text "you and 3 more people found this
review useful" or similar.
- * Click "No" → should appear the text " you found this review not helpful"
or similar.

[Bug 1567845] [NEW] Cannot mark reviews as useful or not in Software

2016-04-08 Thread Alessandro Viprati
Public bug reported:

package: gnome-software 3.20.1~git20160331.78d1aab-0ubuntu2

Many applications in Software have reviews written by users. In Ubuntu Software
Center users were able to mark reviews as useful (or not) by selecting the
correct choice in "Was this review useful to you?" under every review.
Now this is not working anymore.
First of all, no indications are given if people considered a review useful or
not (see PNG attached, it's the same comment for Inkscape in USC and Software).
Every time I choose "Yes" or "No" under a review, the question disappears.
Closing and launching again Software, the question is again here but without
indications of how many people found it useful.

 = How to reproduce =
 * launch Software
 * select an app with some reviews, then click "Yes" under a review
 * login with SSO
 * then notice that the text "Was this review useful to you?" disappears
 * close and launch again Software
 * select again the same app, then notice the text "Was this review useful to
you?" is back

 = Expected result =
If a review has been evaluated from some user, you should read the text "5 of 6
people found this review useful" or similar.
Clicking "Yes" should appear the text "you and 3 more people found this review
useful" or similar.
Clicking "No" should appear the text " you found this review not helpful" or
similar.

[Bug 1558346] Re: [upstream] K3B does not show AudioVideo category @ GNOME

2016-04-08 Thread Alessandro Viprati
Ubuntu 16.04 with Software 3.20.1~git20160331.78d1aab-0ubuntu2
Now I can see K3b in Audio and Video categories. So I think you can mark this
bug as "Fix released" for "gnome-software (Ubuntu)"

[Bug 1563322] Re: Two glitches when installing Google Chrome

2016-04-06 Thread Alessandro Viprati
I tried today, just updated Ubuntu 16.04, to install Chrome: everything
worked well and I didn't find the "could not find any google-chrome-
stable" message.

But, I was thinking to upload the screenshot of my google-chrome installation
(without error message), but neither "Launch" or "Remove" buttons work!!!
Can you confirm that both buttons don't work?
