[Bug 985119] Re: [soundnua]: doesn't offer 'Analogue stereo Output' option
In current version of sound settings dialog (gnome-control-center 3.4.2-0ubuntu0.4) there is no way at all to set the sound card profile (see screenshot). Maybe it is a PEBKAC, but I really cannot guess how to set the 'Analogue stereo output' profile, so to completely disable the internal sound card input. It is important to me as it seems to be the only way to have an USB microphone (like a webcam one) working as plugged in. Without this workaround, at the moment one has to set the USB mic as default source at each login (a no go for my parents... = audio chat screwed up). rantOf course, in gnome-shell everything works properly with the default sound settings menu. It is good to keep things simple, it is better keep them working./rant ** Attachment added: audio-settings-dialog.png https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/985119/+attachment/3270553/+files/audio-settings-dialog.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/985119 Title: [soundnua]: doesn't offer 'Analogue stereo Output' option To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/985119/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Public bug reported: After upgrading from natty to oneiric I've started experiencing this issue: if I leave the pc idle for some minutes the screen goes black (because I think that there isn't a default screensaver - see #808512), but I cannot re-enter my session, because the password dialog doesn't come up. [Bug 576744] Re: Unable to modify brightness when the screen is locked
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager I'm on Lucid fully updated, gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 Sometimes I find hard to unlock the screen because I can't increase the brightness of my laptop display with multimedia keys (I think that's their name). This is really annoying when there is no other light source in the room and you can't literally see anything. I would expect to be able to modify the brightness (and maybe the volume too?) even when the screen is locked. For the record other operating systems (e.g. MacOSX) let you do that. + --- + Architecture: amd64 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 + GnomeSessionIdleInhibited: No + GnomeSessionInhibitors: None + GnomeSessionSuspendInhibited: No + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx - Release Candidate amd64 (20100419.1) + MachineType: Apple Inc. [Bug 568241] Re: Rhythmbox does not see my Ipodtouch 32go

Yep that's plain vanilla PTP as I suspected, no MTP in sight... So, what does that mean? The music files from your iPod are served via another library, probably called libipod. The music files are not visible over PTP. This has to do with consistency, EOG and Evince are very similar but the scroll wheel behaves differently, this is rather surprising.
