[Bug 934192] [NEW] Files and fields with portuguese characters corrupts the database and idv (2/3?)

2012-02-17 Thread Almufadado
Public bug reported:

I have my Ubuntu 10.10 in portuguese language and I often use portuguese
characters like "á ã é ó ê ç " and also I have mp3 files mfrom PT
brasil, swedish, noruegian, eslavic languages, spanish (ñ) korean,
chinese and even japanese.

Since some rhythmbox upgrades ago my massive database get corrupted and
all files are taken from the database (with a big CPU stress) and after
close and re-opening the app many files that include non-english (lol)
characters have the field(s) containing those characters removed and
idv tag is replace with whatever (sending a lot of work to the place
where idv3 tags go to die).

Files in my file system ext4 are ok . Files in my NTFS partitions are
also ok (in all languages) I have checked !

[Bug 705983] [NEW] mistake in string

2011-01-21 Thread Almufadado
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gcalctool

Where it reads:

Ones Complement
Located in ../src/math-buttons.c:224

Twos Complement
Located in ../src/math-buttons.c:227

It should read

One's Complement
Two's Complement

at least in the explanation (possible not in the actual operator string)

[Bug 699805] [NEW] Fr, Pt characters in the name of file inside rar

2011-01-07 Thread Almufadado
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: file-roller

It's the 3th time this happens

A rar or zip that has been compressed (most likely) with a MS windows
compression tool in a non-english system (say portuguese, french and
brazilian)

The files within where named using ie brazilian characters (áéúíó ãõ )

The file was sent to me and when I open it with file-roller 2.32.0

The contained file has this original word " funèbre"

in file-roller it appers like this "funŠbre " (the character is
garbled) and doesn't allow either rename or extract

But the most curious thing is this :
the original name is "Rondò" (with the ò character) but it appears in the
file-roller as "rondo" with the characte not accentuated

!!! I can successfully unrar, test and read the file in the shell using
' unrar e file.rar ' !!!
