[Bug 18250] Re: file-rollers progress bar does not indicate progress

2016-06-28 Thread Angel Guzman Maeso
BUMP

The 100 hundred papercuts is a failure indeed. This bug is opened on
2005. Today in 2016 we don't have file roller that shows properly the
progress bar in .tar.7z, rar, etc.

Ubuntu is only focused on mobile leaving desktop users abandoned. It is
sad see how I join in 2005 and the great spirit until 2009-2010 and how
slow is failing all for silly things.

Please, just put 1-2 developers to fix the papercuts daily 1 month, we
should have a lot bugs closed like this.

Same here. Gimps start well, but probably it is using slow operations
with GEGL

[Bug 1008110] Re: BraseroGenisoimage fails with error 8 Incorrectly encoded string

2015-12-24 Thread Angel Guzman Maeso
Yep, nice to see that after almost 3 year and half zero support was
given and even the bug is marked as invalid without test in new version
if it is still reproducible. Ubuntu is lossing a lot of his essence. And
I am a user from 2005. Bad gift from Christmas.

[Bug 1255525] Re: GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_settings_get_value: assertion 'G_IS_SETTINGS (settings)' failed

2015-11-27 Thread Angel Guzman Maeso
As I comment in Bugzilla:

Testing latest Ubuntu 16.04 (development branch):

$ gnome-control-center --version
unity-control-center 14.04.3

I cannot reproduce the bug and no warnings appears, so probably it is
fixed at some point.

The weird thing now, it is that the tool reports as unity controll
center instead gnome control center and the version looks 14.04 instead
16.04, but thats probably a Ubuntu thing in downstream

[Bug 1247208] [NEW] EvinceDocument-CRITICAL **: ev_document_get_n_pages: assertion 'EV_IS_DOCUMENT (document)' failed

2013-11-01 Thread Angel Guzman Maeso
Public bug reported:

This is not a dupe of #1191692.

Generating a simple pdf with python and reportlab I get always the same
warning opening in evince:

EvinceDocument-CRITICAL **: ev_document_get_n_pages: assertion
'EV_IS_DOCUMENT (document)' failed

The document has only 1 page, so if evince cannot properly get the
number of pages with ev_document_get_n_pages, this should be a valid bug
or remove the warning and report 0 pages instead.

I think that the macro EV_IS_DOCUMENT is failing in some point for
detect the document mode or it is not supported. If that macro fails,
should report why is not considered a valid document.

I attach a fully example python 2.7 script file for reproduce the
problem with reportlab, and the pdf file generated for reproduce the
problem.

[Bug 1016315] Re: totem-plugin-viewer crashed with SIGSEGV in totem_embedded_play()

2013-02-16 Thread Angel Guzman Maeso
After 8 months filled, I don't remember how to reproduce this bug again
. I am currently in raring. If I write on terminal:

/usr/lib/totem/totem-plugin-viewer --plugin-type gmp --user-agent
Windows-Media-Player/10.00.00.4019 --referrer
http://someurlprivate.com/somevideo.avi --mimetype video/x-msvideo

Nothing happens. So I don't know if the bug is fixed or still is
present.

[Bug 1043034] [NEW] Invalid text buffer iterator pressing dot keyboard key

2012-08-28 Thread Angel Guzman Maeso
Public bug reported:

I noted this issue in quantal, in lucid it previously work perfect. I am
spanish with a spanish keyboard layout and spanish locale. When I try to
make some simply maths like:

5 * 1,05 it works, because in my spanish locale, the decimal numers are noted
with comma and thousand with dot. For example: 100.000,99
But sometimes you want use dot for decimal like:

5 * 1.05 that it is not valid in my locale, but spanish people often use
english notation for decimals. Then the character is not written and in
console appears this error:

(gcalctool:31135): Gtk-WARNING **: Invalid text buffer iterator: either the
iterator is uninitialized, or the characters/pixbufs/widgets in the buffer have
been modified since the iterator was created.
You must use marks, character numbers, or line numbers to preserve a position
across buffer modifications.
You can apply tags and insert marks without invalidating your iterators,
but any mutation that affects 'indexable' buffer contents (contents that can be
referred to by character offset)
will invalidate all outstanding iterators

My locale output:

$ locale

LC_CTYPE=es_ES.UTF-8

[Bug 1017893] Re: No properties show on gnome-control-center display

2012-06-26 Thread Angel Guzman Maeso
Additional background info. This was caused because some update remove
the packages xserver-xorg-video-ati and xserver-xorg-video-radeon. As
result, I get only a default screen and probably with standard drivers
detection the freq and other properties could not be detected, but the
warnings are showed.

[Bug 873712] Re: Lack of GstMiniObject means Gst.Message is broken, can't get EOS signal

2012-06-12 Thread Angel Guzman Maeso
Actually this issue with message::eos and other messages is fixed with
Gstreamer 1.0 aka currently as Gstreamer 0.11.91-2 on Ubuntu 12.10 (note
you need previously install gstreamer1.0 packages).

You can verify this with this slightly modified code:

#!/usr/bin/python3

from gi.repository import GObject
GObject.threads_init()

import gi
try:
gi.require_version('Gst', '1.0')
except ValueError:
print 'Could not find required Gstreamer 1.0 library.'
sys.exit(1)

from gi.repository import Gst

Gst.init(None)

mainloop = GObject.MainLoop()
pipeline = Gst.Pipeline()

def on_eos(bus, msg):
print('eos: {!r}'.format(msg))
pipeline.set_state(Gst.State.NULL)
mainloop.quit()

def on_message(bus, msg):
print('message: {!r}'.format(msg))

bus = pipeline.get_bus()
bus.add_signal_watch()
bus.connect('message::eos', on_eos)
bus.connect('message', on_message)

bus = pipeline.get_bus()
bus.add_signal_watch()
bus.connect('message::eos', on_eos)

src = Gst.ElementFactory.make('videotestsrc', None)
src.set_property('num-buffers', 10)
sink = Gst.ElementFactory.make('fakesink', None)
pipeline.add(src)
pipeline.add(sink)
src.link(sink)

pipeline.set_state(Gst.State.PLAYING)
mainloop.run()

Is this still a issue, KapteinPyn? Could you try with Ubuntu 12.04?
Ubuntu 12.10 has gstreamer-1.0 on development too.

I renamed the file to Supernatural 7x17 - The Born-Again Identity.srt
and it works.

So the offending words should be (Español (España)). Probably the
character ñ.

[Bug 397273] [NEW] gtk.VolumeButton() throws a error (MRO) for bases ImplementorIface on Karmic

2009-07-08 Thread Angel Guzman Maeso
Public bug reported:

I recently planned an application where I want to customize the widget
gtk.VolumeButton(). My intention is to change the appearance of more and
less buttons icons and change the subject inside gtk.ScaleButton(). But
to my surprise I receive an error MRO:

TypeError: Cannot create a consistent method resolution

order (MRO) for bases ImplementorIface, Buildable, gtk.Orientable

ERROR:/build/buildd/pygobject-2.18.0/gobject/pygobject.c:924:pygobject_new_full:
 assertion failed: (tp != NULL)

/usr/bin/tivion: line 5: 30042 Cancelado   python tivion.py
$1 $2 $3 $4

I attached a completed test case.

By the other hand, if you put this code in a python console, you dont get any
error:
$ python
Python 2.6.2+ (release26-maint, Jun 19 2009, 15:14:35)

 b.get_popup().get_child().get_child().get_children()[1]

I thing that the problem is some property object hidden or similar.

The bug 279579 seems to be similar, but this is other code with another
property.
