[Bug 1021375] Re: Nautilus says the USB stick is read only when it is not
Just encountered this in Ubuntu 16.10. Painful bug. $ nautilus --version GNOME nautilus 3.20.3 $ cat /etc/*-release DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=16.10 DISTRIB_CODENAME=yakkety DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 16.10" NAME="Ubuntu" VERSION="16.10 (Yakkety Yak)" ID=ubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021375 Title: Nautilus says the USB stick is read only when it is not To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/1021375/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 877256] Re: Can't open .war format since Oneiric (java)
Same problem here. This is absolutely fundamental to my day job, and is something I took for granted. As an aside, File Roller is great for detecting and opening all sorts of files even if they don't have a logical (i.e. a known archive format) extension. It seems this functionality has been sadly lost. Definitely a regression which needs fixing asap, as Ubuntu is used primarily as a development platform by many. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to file-roller in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/877256 Title: Can't open .war format since Oneiric (java) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/file-roller/+bug/877256/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 347830] [NEW] Gnome CPU Monitor Applet Second CPU has blank icon
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-applets anto...@evoke:~$ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 8.10 Release:8.10 anto...@evoke:~$ apt-cache policy gnome-applets gnome-applets: Installed: 2.24.1-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.24.1-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.24.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status I have a dual core CPU in my computer (Core 2 Duo), and as a result I have two CPU Frequency applets in my gnome panel. As shown in the attachment, recently, the second one has shown a blank grey square rather than the icon it used to. The applets are on a gnome bar on my second monitor of my wide desktop. This could be fixed by either: Making CPU Frequency Scaling Applet show a dual core cpu as two cpus/bars automatically. This is good for quad core cpus too as you can imagine. Fixing it so that you can have multiple instances of this applet, one per core/cpu. ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gnome CPU Monitor Applet Second CPU has blank icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/347830 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 41117] Re: Controls do not disappear completely in fullscreen
I too can confirm that this issue is not fixed. Running fully up to date system using nvidia legacy drivers, top and bottom bar which should be black have images of the video controls (which are frozen at the time the controls were supposed to dissappear). This has been an issue for quite a while now - however it used to be perfect.
