[Bug 93623] Totem skips mp3 (while Rhythmbox doesn't)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem-gstreamer In Feisty development version with all updates as of March 19, 2007, Totem-gstreamer plays mp3 files with awful skipping, while Rhythmbox plays the same files fine. As both applications use Gstreamer as a backend, I presume this is a bug in Totem. [Bug 56180] Default keybindings for Previous/Next interfere with editing
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gtranslator By default, keybindings for Go-Previous and Go-Next menu commands are Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right. However, these keys are needed for editing (to move one word back and forward). Therefore I suggest binding Go-Previous and Go-Next to something else by default. [Bug 33814] Nautilus doesn't keep desktop icon positions after reboot
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/33814 Comment: 14 users have confirming this bug in Dapper: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=143821. Moreover, additional details regarding this bug have surfaced: if I manually place the icons leaving about 2cm between them vertically, they don't move, but after Clean Up By Name they change locations invariably. Any other directory chosen using the Browse window (including the subdirectories of /usr/share/pixmaps) will have its files greyed out and not available for selection. To use an icon from elsewhere, I have to copy it to /usr/share/pixmaps. (This is basically copy-pasted from #34295, but that was filed against quick-lounge-applet and now I've found that the bug applies to the panel and desktop as like. [Bug 34321] Gnome-session doesn't respect turning off automatic session saving and opens Nautilus by itself
Public bug reported: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/34321 Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: I've found that gnome-session doesn't properly handle turning off automatic session saving. Here's what I done: 1) Turn on auto_save_session via gconf-editor. 2) Leave some program open - say, Gnome Terminal. 3) Reboot. Upon login, Gnome Terminal pops up, which is what is supposed to happen. 4) Turn off auto_save_session via gconf-editor. Close all apps. 5) Reboot. Upon login, gconf-editor opens, which was closed before rebooting, as well as Nautilus, which wasn't launched at all. To fix this manually, I have to delete ~/.gnome2/session file after turning off automatic session saving. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'. (Details: serial 81 error_code 11 request_code 141 minor_code 19) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
