[Bug 743517] Re: Operators need to be localised

In particular, Russian XOR is ⊕. I didn't see other operators, but it's
possible there are americanisms too.

[Bug 736337] [NEW] Desktop file localization skips variant locales

2011-03-16 Thread AsstZD
Public bug reported:

The desktop files containing translations for locale variants ([xx@yy]

violation of specification and also very redneck and stupid.

[Bug 408474] Re: Language variants information missing in the language selection list

2011-01-10 Thread AsstZD
No. ca CAN be translated to Catalan etc. ES CAN be translated to
Spain. ca...@valencia, c...@valencia, or @valencia CAN NOT be
translated, as valencia is just a arbitrary string made up by user,
the same as in en...@kjsdawe or sv...@wmedv or any other one someone
can dream of. It's not in standard, it's just what it is, and show it
like this is the best way.

Right way to do it is to register the new language code for Valencian
dialect of Catalan. and use it instead of this hack.

GNU Locale format != BCP 47
@modifier field has no relation to either script or variant subtags of latter
format. Also the latter allows to have script, variant, and any user
pecularities in several subtags of one language tag, former does not.

[Bug 506500] Re: Window switcher menu button looks wrong in vertical orientation

2010-01-22 Thread AsstZD
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 284324 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/284324

It has nothing to do with scaling. It is a margins which are added to
left/right sides, instead of top/bottom, which would be appropriate in
vertical orientation. If you'll look more careful, you'll see that icon
has correct scale but clipped by miscalculated borders.
