[Bug 1069531] Re: Cannot login to Empathy after setting up Google online account

2012-10-22 Thread Baldur Norddahl
I have the same problem. Mine is not a new installation but an upgrade
from 12.04. Empathy had no trouble with Google Chat before the upgrade.

I am using two factor authentication on the Google account. I tried
generating a new application key and entered as password but that did
not fix the problem.

[Bug 583911] Re: bad flag alias index bad flag vector alias errors

2010-06-12 Thread Baldur Norddahl
I have this bug too. I could not remove the myspell-en-za package
because of dependencies. Instead I did:

sudo rm /usr/share/myspell/dicts/en_ZA.*

This fixed the issue.

[Bug 303763] [NEW] gedit always blocks logout

2008-11-30 Thread Baldur Norddahl
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 272854 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272854

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gedit

1) Open a text file using gedit

2) Logout

3) Gedit will block the logout even though the text file is unmodified

Logout should have been allowed to proceed since nothing is lost by
closing an unmodified text file.

This is on Ubuntu 8.10 desktop i386.

gedit:
  Installed: 2.24.1-0ubuntu1

** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
