[Bug 1559185] Re: Doesn't understand apt: urls

2016-04-28 Thread Bartosz Kosiorek
I installed gnome-software from proposed.

After typing in console:
  $ gnome-software apt:gedit
it is opening ubuntu-software with gedit

After typing in console:
  $ gnome-software apt:gimp
it is opening ubuntu-software with gimp

When I type apt:audacity in chromium or firefox browser, it is trying to
install audacity.

So it is working perfectly fine for me.

Verification passed.

[Bug 1559284] Re: Display only a small number of reviews

2016-04-28 Thread Bartosz Kosiorek
** Description changed:

  * Impact
  gnome-software displays only 10 reviews and doesn't give you a way to load
more

  * Test case
- open a popular application in g-s and look at the reviews, there should be
more than 10
+ open a popular application (eg. Audacity, GIMP) in g-s and look at the
reviews, there should be more than 10

  * Regression potential
  we load more data so the details page might be a bit slower to load

  Using xenial it seems there is no way to load more review? I reported
  that upstream but it might be a choice for them since they don't have
  lot of reviews on their server

  That commit suggests the UI exists

https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-software/commit/?id=a92da2e47478ef9c124367ad2a87efcd3f2375c0

  There might be a need to write the backend side though

[Bug 904662] Re: CD/DVD Creator fails to eject disc after writing, or detect reinsertion after manual eject

2012-03-04 Thread Bartosz-jedrzejczak
I use Nautilius to burn from side menu. This bug exists in Ubuntu for quite
long already. Definitelly used to be in 11.04.
In my case there is no eject button on CD itself. I've got Dell Studio 1558 and
it has a slot CD with a button on a keyboard. Works fine for any other activity
but after burning I get the error as above and need to reboot the system to get
the CD/DVD out. Fortunatelly I do not burn a lot, but this is painful i.e. to
burn multiple CD u need to reboot after each ;-)
Elect command from side menu of Nautilius does not work either.

[Bug 800582] [NEW] After upgrade from Ubuntu 10.10 to 11.04 Natty, the gnome-session freeze

2011-06-22 Thread Bartosz
Public bug reported:

After upgrade from Ubuntu 10.10 to 11.04 Natty, the gnome-session stops on
displaying desktop wallpaper. I can't do anything in that. I have wait a long
time, but nothing happened. The wallpaper appears and nothing else.
The "Ubuntu, Ubuntu Classic, Ubuntu Classic (no effects), ubuntu (safe mode)"
is not working.

Only "Recovery Console" works.
After run "Recovery Console", and type "gnome-session" in console, the problem
is the same as previous, but I could get logs from run.

Workaround:
After run "Recovery Console", open two terminals and run "gnome-session" in
first, and "gnome-panel" in second.

I confirm this bug is present is gedit 2.30.3
Paste function sometimes does not seem to paste text, but if you change tab and
go back to the tab you were pasting in, the pasted text will show at the
current position of a cursor.
I do not have multiple monitors, and paste short lines of text from OpenOffice

[Bug 12040] Re: GNOME "Main Menu" panel applet slow to open on first click (NOT compiz related)

2010-02-28 Thread Bartosz
This bug was submitted 5 years ago. So I think it will be not resolved
so fast.

I suggest to add some aditional information during first click ("wait cursor").
It is very easy to add this feature.

I think it will be very useful for beginner user, for example my friend
who installed Ubuntu and he thought that Ubuntu freezed.

2010-02-28 Thread Bartosz
I don't want to resolve "slow menu" problem, only I would like to add
"wait cursor" during first open GNOME main menu.

This issue is not Workaround.
It is not resolve/workaround the problem with slow menu. It is only some
aditional information which should be added.

It will be very useful for users with slow computers (like me), for
example on netbooks.

[Bug 37624] Re: Exception when trying "Add to panel"

2006-05-02 Thread Bartosz Mosica
Right now I have valgrind log, but as I see it is truncated, so I will make
correct one soon.

I think that problem is related to some polish letters, and it can be connected
with not displaying some names in menu (see attachment - menu_no_entries.png).
On console gnome-panel put a lot of warnings about that:

** (gnome-panel:19770): WARNING **: Invalid input string for underscore escaping

(gnome-panel:19770): Gtk-WARNING **: Invalid input string

In function panel_addto_make_text it crash inside function
g_markup_printf_escaped. When I printf variables I have such entries (here only
last correct):

Name: Monitor systemu
Desc: Wskaźnik obciążenia systemu
Real_name: Monitor systemu
RESULT: Monitor systemu
Wskaźnik obciążenia systemu

And it crash on such values, which don't look even strange:

Name: Narzędzie do montowania dysków
Desc: Narzędzie montujące lokalne dyski i urządzenia
Real_name: Narzędzie do montowania dysków

This is what I have right now, I will try to digg more.
