[Bug 278112] Re: Screensaver doesn't start
Not fixed for me either. [Bug 278112] Re: Screensaver doesn't start
OK, so I downloaded the new version and it works for me now, so I retract my earlier statement. [Bug 277503] Re: Visual Effects in gnome-appearance-properties doesn't persist in Ubuntu 8.10 beta live CD
Another EDIT: to your last question, the desktop effects are used. It's just that the radio button does not check permanently. If you don't have the same problem, maybe you must install from the current intrepid live CD. I also install from the latest live CD about 5 days ago and have the same problem. -- Visual Effects in gnome-appearance-properties doesn't persist in Ubuntu 8.10 beta live CD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277503 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 277503] Re: Visual Effects in gnome-appearance-properties doesn't persist in Ubuntu 8.10 beta live CD
I have the same problem and Ricardo described it pretty accurately. Just go to Apperance Visual Effects Tab and no Radio button will be checked even if you checked one before. -- Visual Effects in gnome-appearance-properties doesn't persist in Ubuntu 8.10 beta live CD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277503 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 279206] [NEW] intrepid: normal visual effects cannot be checkmarked permanently
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel When I go to Appearance -- Visual effects then I usually have Normal effects checkmarked. But the checkmark does not stay! When I go out of the menu and back later, none of the items is checkmarked. (Even though I think the system is using Normal but the checkmark is simply gone.) ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- intrepid: normal visual effects cannot be checkmarked permanently https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/279206 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 251669] Re: totem no longer able to play m3u playlists
I am currently able to play livestreams but it's a bit unstable: just had a complete system crash, had to reboot. The radio was playing I wish I was a punk rocker if that helps. :) Cannot reproduce as that song is rarely played. Haha, but I really had a complete system crash playing a live stream on totem. -- totem no longer able to play m3u playlists https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/251669 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 278299] Re: Intrepid: arrows in gnome menu?
OK, sorry for keeping you busy because of such a small thing. Let me put it like this: Regarding these arrows in the main menu, I preferred the hardy font over the intrepid font. So I guess this is a wish/enhancement. I would like to have the hardy look back in this particular case, the other one caught my eye (in a negative sense). :) -- Intrepid: arrows in gnome menu? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/278299 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 278299] Re: Intrepid: arrows in gnome menu?
There are some discussions here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=151122 or here http://sudan.ubuntuforums.com/showthread.php?s=c26abb17e421845799e2f9fa0e85e4e9t=733808 Obviously, it doesn't have a very high priority. I just thought it looked different on intrepid compared to hardy (can't check it anymore). Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome Don't know if this is the right forum for that but here's a shocking fact (Core 2 Duo machine): gnome-terminal uses 13.5 MB RAM while konsole only uses 4.1 MB and xterm uses 3.4 MB. gnome-terminal is quite a monster compared to the other two.
