I can confirm this with Ubuntu 9.10. Evince hangs with every pdf file I open. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince When i try to print certain pdf files, evince will crash and terminate itself. Other pdf files can be printed. I use a HP Laserjet 1018 with the foo2zjs driver, which works well. I can print the questionable pdf files using e.g. KPDF. Moreover, when trying to view one of these pdf documents with evince started from firefox, evince would freeze.
