Some additional information. As an experiment, I tried burning a cd with the write directly to the cd option unchecked. The files (mp3) seemed to transcode okay but when the time came to write the cd, it was ejected and the write failed. [Bug 725263] [NEW] Brasaro corrupts files to CD and DVD; making audio CDs works fine
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero I am having problems with Brasero 2.32.0 under Maverick in that data files burned to CD or DVD are corrupted. The files and proper icons are displayed normally when you open the disk on Nautilus. Audio CDs burn and play with no problems. I've tried two different CD burners, a Samsung SM-308 and a Lite-On iHAP122W, which is my current drive. I don't have this problem with gnomebaker.
