[Bug 1727908] Re: Software & Updates application does not permit changes on the "Other Software" tab
Agreed, the low activity could be because the bug is confirmed, reproduced and set at high priority. [Bug 483193] [NEW] pdfs are printed a bit smaller than original, also in preview
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince Actually I'm not quite sure if the bug is in evince. If you open a pdf-file in evince and print it, it is a bit smaller than it original was, about 95% or so. That is even in the preview. Same thing occurs if you print the pdf with gimp with the normal print dialog (with the gutenberg dialog it seems to be a bit better but also to small). And since the preview is in evince I thougt it might be in evince but could also be in the GNOME printing system. On the other side if you print the pdf with lp filename.pdf it is o.k. so it seems not to be a bug in CUPS, the error also does not come if you print with OpenOffice. I have an HP 4P printer. I have tested the problem with the following drivers (seems no difference): HP LaserJet 4P - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.4 HP LaserJet 4P Foomatic/lj4dith HP LaserJet 4P Foomatic/ljet4 Generic PCL 5e Printer Foomatic/ljet4d Generic PCL 5e Printer Foomatic/hpijs-pcl5e In earlier Versions of Ubuntu (8.10 or 8.04, I don't know anymore) that was o.k. with the ljet4-driver; with the Gutenprint-driver there was a little offset to the right (or left?) [Bug 150959] Re: epiphany resizes its window
I think I have a similar problem with all applications: they don't maximize to the full screen, only to a part of the screen. Occasionally (OK, frequently), they resize themselves, either they snap to the real fullscreen, or they snap back from the fullscreen to the partial fullscreen. It happens for example to Firefox, Thunderbird, Eclipse, even the screensaver preview showed only on the partial screen. It seems Gnome is somehow confused about the size of the screen. I have an external monitor attached to my notebook. The external monitor is 1920x1200 pixels, the notebook is 1280x768 pixels. I don't care what is shown on the notebook monitor, but perhaps Gnome sometimes uses the notebook resolution for fullscreen?
