[Bug 281713] Re: evince doesn't print vector images in PDF

2008-11-25 Thread Bordiga Giacomo
Have you installed cairo 1.8.2 from Fabien Tassin's PPA? To do that add
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/fta/ubuntu intrepid main as a third party
repository and update and upgrade only cairo packages and then disable
the repository, to prevent not wanted upgrades.

[Bug 281713] Re: evince doesn't print vector images in PDF

2008-11-24 Thread Bordiga Giacomo
I tried to install Fabien Tassin cairo 1.8.4 packages for jaunty from his PPA
(https://launchpad.net/~fta/+archive), that should be the same as those
uploaded to jaunty, but the install fails due to an unresolved dependency
(libxcb, but not sure).
Then i installed cairo 1.8.2 compiled for intrepid, again from Fabien Tassin
PPA and it installs correctly and the bug is fixed.

[Bug 185387] Re: can not drag a file to a nautilus folder which uses list mode

2008-06-15 Thread Bordiga Giacomo
I applied the patch by Amos Brocco from gnome bugzilla
(http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171655) and created a package for
hardy and it works.
If anyone is interested in testing just add deb
http://ppa.launchpad.net/gbordiga/ubuntu hardy main to sources.list and
update/grade.

The same patch is also found in Fedora 10 (rawhide) nautilus package.

Will ever the maintainer apply the patch to official ubuntu package?

Rebuilding the package with debuild (instead of ./configure make

The Totem developers are saying that DVD support is intentionally
disabled since it's not stable. BUT since Feisty (maybe gnome too?)
uses Totem as default DVD player the menu Play Disk 'DVD_NAME' should
be activated.

[Bug 25931] Re: Failed to initalize HAL.

I confirm the existence of this bug in edgy. I notice it, after setting
the automatic startup login. Changing the priority number of the init
script to 12 resolves the problem.
