[Bug 283176] Re: gst-launch-0.10 crashes with SIGSEGV in libgstdvdread.so in cur_title_get_chapter_bounds
I'll download the alpha 4 CD of Karmic and try this out using the live CD since I don't really have the space to install a test version on my computer and it would be foolish for me to try and upgrade my stable OS to Karmic at this point. At this point I've more or less given up on gst-launch0.10 for ripping DVDs and have moved to mencoder using a script to manage all the various command-line options. However, as I'm a developer by profession I understand the desire to see reported bugs fixed and get their proper testing. I'll comment again when I get a chance to test out a DVD rip with the latest gst-launch using Karmic Koala. -- gst-launch-0.10 crashes with SIGSEGV in libgstdvdread.so in cur_title_get_chapter_bounds https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283176 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gstreamer0.10 in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 263211] Re: apps-wont-open-due-to-maximum-clients-reached-error
You might start by disabling your screen saver (though you can leave your power saving features on). Even before this bug patch was committed, I disabled the screen saver and stopped experiencing the problem. This is just a helpful suggestion, not a verified solution by any means. -- apps-wont-open-due-to-maximum-clients-reached-error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/263211 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 283176] Re: gst-launch-0.10 crashes with SIGSEGV in libgstdvdread.so in cur_title_get_chapter_bounds
No, the movie is a commercial DVD that I own and I'm trying to rip. Oddly, it only seems to be this movie. If I use gst-launch0.10 with another movie (say, Snatch) it works just fine. I am able to rip The Patriot using VLC, but not gst-launch0.10. So this bug's priority can be set to low since I have a work-around. It's still interesting as to why it breaks on some DVDs and not others. Thanks for all your help. I'm still happy to give you any info I can. -- gst-launch-0.10 crashes with SIGSEGV in libgstdvdread.so in cur_title_get_chapter_bounds https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283176 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gstreamer0.10 in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 283176] [NEW] gst-launch-0.10 crashes with SIGSEGV
Public bug reported: Ever since kernel update 2.6.26-7-generic gstreamer0.10-tools has been broken for me when attempting to read a DVD stream. It was working in 2.6.26-6-generic, but I think a recent update to the gstreamer0.10 package broke that as well. The movie being ripped does not matter - none work. [Bug 281726] [NEW] Maximum number of clients reached: Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display
Public bug reported: After letting the computer sit idle for several hours (less than 24) Gnome will stop allowing new windows to be created regardless of how many are already open. Open windows (generally) remain functional as long as they do not request to open another window. This behavior has consistently occurred in Intrepid Ibex 8.10 beta. Attached are two files containing the command line output of trying to run update-manager and k3b in this state. Logging out and back in resets the counter and will allow normal behavior for roughly another 24 hours. k3b is version 1.0.5-1ubuntu6 update-manager is version 1:0.93.21 kernel is 2.6.27-3 through 2.6.27-6 Please let me know what more information I can provide. ** Affects: gtk+2.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Maximum number of clients reached: Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/281726 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+2.0 in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
