[Bug 453729] Re: f-spot.exe crashed in Print Preview
Hello! I followed my own prcedure from the How to reproduce in Post Nr.6. * The Printpreview now shows the right photo, instead of a placeholder image. * F-Spot does not crash anymore. Imho this Bug can be set to fixed, also #450456 seems to be fixed. -- f-spot.exe crashed in Print Preview https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/453729 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to f-spot in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 453729] Re: f-spot.exe crashed in Print Preview
Thank's for looking into this! Im very curious about this error, and thought that it might be a conflict with a newer version of liblcms in Karmic. 1a.) I apt-get --purge removed f-spot from my system 2a.) The i installed the f-spot build-dep from Ubuntu and build the new 0.6.1.4 Tarball from f-spot.org on my own. This again leaded to the placeholder images in the Print-Preview and crashed f-spot. 2a.) After that i installed Ubuntu 9.04 on a Virtualbox 2b.)I again removed the old but working f-spot 0.5, installed the build-dependecies (including libmono-cairo) and compiled f-spot 0.6.1.4 on my own for Jaunty. This configuration also crashed and showed me placeholders in the print-preview. (Debuglog is attached) I'm now very shure that this is an upstream bug. Maybe nobody else uses color-correction so this error has not been recognized yet. Or it is a more fuzzy depency issue, f-spot.org lists liblcms as dependency as exactly 0.12, but ubuntu ships liblcms 0.18 since Jaunty. ** Attachment added: debug.log http://launchpadlibrarian.net/34707329/debug.log -- f-spot.exe crashed in Print Preview https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/453729 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to f-spot in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 453729] Re: f-spot.exe crashed in Print Preview
HowTo Reproduce: Prepeation: Import some JPEG Files with 5 Megapixels into F-Spot. 1.) Doubleclick one Imge to change into Image-Viewmode 2.) Select File/Print 3.) Choose Printpreview... -- At this point i am affected by Bug #450456 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/450456) 4.) Close the Printpreview 5.) Choose an other Image in F-spot, it does'nt matter if you use Prev/Next or the Imagebar. F-Spot crashes (now silently without an Apport Window) I installed the debug-Symbols, and started mono --debug /usr/lib/f-spot/f-spot.exe The Consoleputput is attached. ** Attachment added: f-spot.txt http://launchpadlibrarian.net/34604561/f-spot.txt -- f-spot.exe crashed in Print Preview https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/453729 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to f-spot in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 453729] Re: f-spot.exe crashed in Print Preview
Yes, file:///home/christian/Fotos/2009/09/12/pict6544.jpg does exist and i can open it with eog, also rebuilding the preview Images in F-Spot does work. I now found the culprid. To reproduce this Bug you have to set Color profile for Printing to sRGB built-in, or rgb built-in. On the other side, disabling Color-Management fixes this and Bug #450456 I now tried this on 3 different Machines: Ubuntu 9.10 64bit: reproduce-able Ubuntu 9.10 32bit: reproduce-able Ubunut 9.04 32bit: Printing with Color-Management works -- f-spot.exe crashed in Print Preview https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/453729 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to f-spot in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 112706] Re: add support for finding dublicate pictures
Hello! Im using this Plug-In. Newly imported Files will be hashed while they are imported. Simply make sure that search for Duplicates is checked in the import dialog. Already existing Images must be hashed extra, with Tools - Hash for Duplicates In F-Spot 0.5. (Jaunty) this feature is broken, in 0.6.1.3 (Karmic) it works, but it doesn't give a lot of feedback. -- add support for finding dublicate pictures https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112706 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 433500] Re: gvfsd memory leak
The same issue happend to my PC tonight. I usalay leave my PC on overnight. This night i started an distcc daemon and compiled an kernel on my netbook with distcc. This morning my PC was very unresponsive and slow, also some panel applets crashed (cpufreq, and audio mixer) i started the gnome-system-monitor. CPU utilization was pretty normal, but gvfsd eats 3gib from my 4 Gig RAM I don't have any Networkshares currently, so i didn't copied anything over gvfs. Auto-Suspend ist off, but DPMS is activated after 5min, and power-management for Harddisks is active. i leaved the faulty daemon open and reported this issue via ubuntu-bug, i hope this brings you a helpful backtrace. IMHO it's a plain Memoryleak ** Attachment added: Bildschirmfoto-Systemüberwachung.png http://launchpadlibrarian.net/34228096/Bildschirmfoto-System%C3%BCberwachung.png -- gvfsd memory leak https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/433500 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 16492] Re: Mouse pointer should disappear when keyboard is in use and mouse isn't
Hm... i never saw my cursor dissappearing, but now i look closly at my Cursor: Sometimes he dissapears, sometimes not. In GTK: Cursor dissapears if you type into a Textbox AND the cursor is over the Textbox Cursor won't dissapear if you use type-away search in list (type the file you are looking for in nautilus for example) Not so GTK native application behave randomly: f-spot: no cursor hiding. Chromium: Cursor hides in the Awesomebar but not in a HTML textarea Conclusion -- X is not respnisble to enforce such stuff GTK Toolkit can't catch all cases of cursor hiding. Users that are aware that the cursor hides, experience this as random. What about the Windowmanager? If cursor is over the active window and there is keyboard-activity, then hide the cursor. This would also catch wine-emulated stuff, and a whole lot of useful apps not with in GTK. -- Mouse pointer should disappear when keyboard is in use and mouse isn't https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/16492 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
