[Bug 1312943] [NEW] onscreen icons appear huge while playing a video

2014-04-25 Thread ComputerJy
Public bug reported:

When I play a video in totem in fullscreen mode, if I press the spacebar
to pause I get a huge icon taking up to 60% of the screen. All other
commands (play, pause, forward, backward) do the same. I tried running
apt-get --reinstall install totem totem-common totem-plugins but that
didn't change anything

[Bug 707232] Re: Netbook image - no valid session found

2011-04-17 Thread ComputerJy
I tried using the gnome3 PPA for a couple of hours and noticed it was causing
multiple crashes to the desktop, so I purged the PPA and restored the old
versions of the installed packages using synaptic.
For some reason now I keep getting the error message whenever I try using the
ubuntu entry in the login window. I can still use the ubuntu classic just
fine. But I really like the new look and want to get to work again.

Is there anything I need to do or is this a bug?

BTW. I'm using natty beta 2.6.38-8-generic

[Bug 569273] Re: memory leak in gnome-power-manager

2010-09-27 Thread ComputerJy
Let's start with, I don't care what do you do. You just seem to know what
you're talking about (That's more than enough) as for the verbose output of the
gnome-power-manager, I've attached it to this comment. But as for the upower I
get the following message when trying to run it in verbose mode:
TI:21:20:19 FI:egg-debug.c FN:egg_debug_post_parse_hook,415
 - Verbose debugging 1 (on console 1)
Doesn't make any sense to me but maybe someone can make something out of it.
BTW, sorry for the late response but I was (Shamefully) on windows the whole
time.

Ok, TBH it's not per second. It's happening every 2 seconds or sometimes 3.
If this might be of any help, when I first start the gnome-power-manager I get
a warning about a broken battery (Didn't bother changing it since my laptop is
always connected to a power supply)

[Bug 605368] [NEW] Workspace Switcher preferences menu item doesn't show

2010-07-14 Thread ComputerJy
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

This is a little bit tricky so I'm going to list steps of reproduction.
1- Install the package Ubuntu Tweak. I'm using version 0.5.4.1
2- Start Ubuntu tweak and go to GNOME Settings tab.
3- Check the Complete lockdown of all panels --Which I figured only flips a
switch in the gconf
4- Log out and Log back in.
5- Right click on the Workspace Switcher. The preferences is not showing.
Try steps 2 3 but uncheck this time. Still invisible

I don't know if I'm reporting the correct package. But I thought it's a
relevant issue

[Bug 566893] Re: gedit freezes when scrolling through a large file (512 lines)

2010-06-22 Thread ComputerJy
I think this is a syntax highlighting issue. Only files with know syntax used
to crash for me. But now gedit just goes through them reaaly slow. And
the line numbers disappear. But no more error for me
I'm using Version 2.30.2

[Bug 376145] Re: gvfs-gdu-volume-monitor crashed with SIGSEGV in gdu_pool_get_presentables()

2009-06-20 Thread ComputerJy
I've done the second part but it's saying you should go back to the
application window in which you started the process and inform it that
you have done your part of the process. I have no idea what does that
mean.

Anyway, I just start transmission, go to the Preferences window I get the error:
(transmission:5581): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_tree_sortable_set_sort_column_id:
assertion `GTK_IS_TREE_SORTABLE (sortable)' failed

(transmission:5581): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_tree_sortable_set_sort_column_id:
assertion `GTK_IS_TREE_SORTABLE (sortable)' failed
But it doesn't cause any problems. Then switch to the Network tab try changing
the port, click Test Port, wait till it's done, then click it again, while
it's doing the test just close the preferences dialog. Give a couple of seconds
until the test is complete and you've got your error Segmentation fault (core
dumped)

[Bug 376145] Re: gvfs-gdu-volume-monitor crashed with SIGSEGV in gdu_pool_get_presentables()

2009-06-20 Thread ComputerJy
:D I've filed more than 50 error reports this month (I know it's an
Alpha and I have no problem I love it) So maybe I got mixed up between
tickets..

Sorry :)
