Re: [Bug 204857] Re: USB port disabled by hup (EMI? re enabling)
I've been fine since 2.6.24-15 (I think). It was certainly an update from the Ubuntu beta 4 disc but may be included now the official release is out. system/apt-get upgrade should sort things out... dh Mark Cox wrote: Yes, I'm on 2.6.24-16 generic Hardy LTS and the issue seems solved for me. 2008/4/28 hugolp [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Is this suposed to be solved? Re: [Bug 204857] Re: USB port disabled by hup (EMI? re enabling)
There has been much discussion on v4l-dvb about this issue so I have alerted them to the potential fix. I really think as a trivial patch that this could save a lot of people a lot of headaches if it is the root cause, so it at least warrants a revisit. Cheers, dh Mark Cox wrote: Hi, I'd agree with that, I to use a Nova T-500, you can't have a simple issue like this in an LTS release, an LTS release is exactly what people would choose to base a mythtv system on. [Bug 204857] Re: USB port disabled by hup (EMI? re enabling)
I get the same behaviour on my HP nx6125 laptop with both a nova-t and nova-t diversity stick. Either attempting to scan for, or watch dvb channels results in the following: MT2060: successfully identified (IF1 = 1220) [ 589.459712] input: IR-receiver inside an USB DVB receiver as /devices/pci:00/:00:13.2/usb3/3-8/input/input16 [ 589.470534] dvb-usb: schedule remote query interval to 150 msecs. There were some disconnects with previous ubuntu kernel versions (gutsy and previous) but not nearly as frequent as is now happening. Looks like it's probabably an upstream issue as I've read of several other sufferers even with vanilla kernels. Could be my usb chipset or something more generic, lspci is below. [Bug 152975] Re: drag url to folder: drag and drop is not supported
I have reproduced it with different user accounts in feisty and gutsy. See the video for what I am talking about. I'm not talking about drag drop being broken. I'm talking about not be allowed to drop a url shortcut into a folder whose view is already filled with other shortcuts, because the other shortcuts try to accept the drops themselves - resulting in the error message drag and drop is not supported. We need to not let desktop url shortcuts accept file drops. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Confirmed -- drag url to folder: drag and drop is not supported https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152975 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 152975] drag url to folder: drag and drop is not supported
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Drag a url/bookmark from firefox to a nautilus folder window in list view. If the other files are all links/shortcuts, you can't drop any new urls in the folder. You get the error: drag and drop is not supported The links/shortcuts already in the folder try to open the new url you are dragging if you drop them nearby. I think there are two things that could be improved: -application icons should continue to accept file drops of course, but not links. -make some space for file drops when you have list view. Right now all the files in a list view take up all the drop space for themselves. The folder itself has no drop area if the view is filled by existing files. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- drag url to folder: drag and drop is not supported https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152975 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 152975] Re: drag url to folder: drag and drop is not supported
I am using gutsy, but I saw the same behavior in feisty. I am talking about when you drag a url from firefox to a folder that already has links (url shortcuts) in it. That gives an error, unless you drag on top of a non-link file or find some empty space in the folder (which a list view doesn't have if the number of files is equal or more than how many it can display). Here is a screencast using istanbul: http://upload2.net/page/download/CfLJKwEMrzJTw5I/dragdropurls.ogg.html (btw I couldn't reproduce it when using gtk-recordmyscreen because it created some kind of invisible window preventing any drag and drop) -- drag url to folder: drag and drop is not supported https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152975 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 149965] name column fills entire window in Nautilus list view
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus The name column in the list view of Nautilus now takes up the entire window width-wise in Ubuntu Gutsy. I can't see the size or last modified date unless I scroll right and drag resize the columns back over to the left. I have to do this for every folder I view. I didn't have this problem in Feisty, just Gutsy. Actually I think Feisty may have made the name column a little to small, but I didn't mind that. Is there a fix for this, or a way to permanently set the column widths for Nautilus.
