[Bug 1726097] [NEW] User session crash directly after login and user is back at login screen.
Public bug reported: After upgrade from Ubuntu 17.04 I was no longer able to login. First I thought it was because of the new display server but the same thing happened when using X. I did a reset of dconf and was then able to login to the GNOME session, but trying to login to the Ubuntu session the screen blackout out shortly after entering the password and I was back at the login screen. I found that if I enabled the Ubuntu dock in the GNOME session same thing happened - but while logged in. Gnome Shell crashed and I was back at the login screen. Now I was no longer able to login to the Gnome session either and had to do another reset of dconf. I then uninstalled the gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock package and tried to login to the Ubuntu session and it worked. I of course had to try to trying to keep singeling it out, and when I now installed that package again I am unable to use the Ubuntu session, but Gnome session (without the Ubuntu dock enabled) works. But if I suspend the laptop and then wake it up, Evolution refuses to sync again and none of my directories are shown. Public bug reported: Lets say that I want to find a file named abc123.txt in my home dir, I open Home, start typing abc, but perhaps I have abc111.txt, or so, so that it would be easier to just use the arrow keys for the last part of finding the correct file, the marker in the quick search gets re- positioned to the left or right - depending on what I clicked of course - instead of jumping right or left between the files in my dir. Also, If I have entered a letter, I cant hit enter while the quick search is still visible. So, even If I find the correct file to begin with, using Quich search, I'll have to first hit Esc, then Enter to open another dir, a file or whatefter. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution I use Evolution for mail on my desktop and have Gmail connected to it. I also have a Android cellphone, with the same Gmail-acount connected to it. When I read some of the mails I get on my desktop, pretty much everything in them is summed up by [?]. When I read the same mail on my phone - or in the Gmail via browers - there is a lot of more text in them, then what Evolutions shows and also there is no [?] at all. What could this be about? UTF-8 and ASC-32? or what? Took me a while to think more about it and when I figured it out, I missed a lot of workmails..
