[Bug 1886672] Re: Multiple screen display issues
I have the 3.36.3 package installed ii gnome-shell3.36.3-1ubuntu1~20.04.2 amd64graphical shell for the GNOME desktop I'm experiencing a crash upon resume from sleep, something with either gnome-shell or screensaver crashes. After suspend, I can see my screen (without much of the window decorations or layouts) before it eventually restarts things and then I can unlock my screen normally. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1866044 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1866044 Previous bug #1866044 reports being fixed in 3.36.0-2ubuntu1 I'm seeing crashes during lock screen with 3.36.1-5ubuntu2 often it's returning from suspend, but not sure if this is the only trigger. after unlock, I see some window manager crash artifacts (weird window placement) and then Gnome-shell restarts and usually recovers. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1866703 Title: gnome-shell crashes on lock screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1866703/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 68301] [edgy] serpentine stalls 'Preparing media files'
Public bug reported: I've dragged some FLAC files to my Serpentine and and it just stalls on 'Preparing media files'. No backtrace to the console, nothing. [Bug 67663] Re: [Edgy] nautilus defaults to spatial mode
Reinstalled nautilus-data and all seems well again. Background: I do not nor have I ever installed automatix, I only have pure Ubuntu (main, restricted, *verse) packages installed on this machine. Any ideas why upgrading nautilus-data didn't work but reinstalling did? [Bug 67663] [Edgy] nautilus defaults to spatial mode
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Before upgrading to Edgy all my nautilus settings matched that of another machine I hae here in my home running edgy. When I logged in after the upgrade last night, a) my nautilus defaults to 'spatial' mode, b) I have the 'computer' and 'trash' icons back on the desktop, and c) the size of each file on the desktop was shown beneath it. From what I understand none of these were intended defaults. I can set nautilus to the proper default by manipulating gconf, but I'm a bit confused as to how/why the default changed. Below is output indicating that 'always_use_browser' isn't set. [Bug 33739] graphical corrupting using screen+irssi
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/33739 Comment: everything important is working great and I haven't experienced any of the display problems we've all been discussing. I'm at least 95% certain the screen+irssi problem is also fixed. However, it seems there's a bit of wierd logic on the resizing of the gnome-terminal window. 1. Open gnome-terminal 2. open a second tab 3. close the tab 4. goto step 2 if you repeat 2-4 several times, you'll find that your window is growing by one line verticaly with each iteration. Clearly this is not a big deal, but I thought I'd let the interested parties know. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 33739] graphical corrupting using screen+irssi
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/33739 Comment: I haven't run into either of these bugs in my testing of 1:0.12.0-0ubuntu3. I'm 98% confident that the issue described at 2006-03-14 02:49:15 UTC is fixed, and about 75% confident that the original irssi and screen breakage is fixed. Although I haven't seen it, the bug is somewhat sparratic. Thanks for the patches! -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 33739] graphical corrupting using screen+irssi
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/33739 Comment: It seems as though 0.12.0-0ubuntu2 has caused some regression. It seems as though the screen+irssi bug may be fixed, though I honestly don't know for sure as it's sparatic for me. New steps to reproduce resizing problem: 1. open gnome-terminal 2. open a new tab 3. close new tab 4. open new tab 5. man wget scroll Expected: man goes all the way to the bottom Result: terminal thinks it has one fewer lines than it does, and shows only some of man page. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
