[Bug 406515] Re: [Karmic beta] Brightness fn keys lost functionality (Lenovo 3000 N200)

2009-10-19 Thread Delvien
HP dv1000se laptop
2.6.31-14-generic

This is the same problem I have. Every other fn key works, but not the
brightness up and down.

[Bug 406515] Re: [Karmic beta] Brightness fn keys lost functionality (Lenovo 3000 N200)

2009-10-19 Thread Delvien
More to add.. When going through the fixing hotkeys guide.

I ran: sudo /lib/udev/keymap -i input/event5

I then proceeded to hit all the fn keys and its respective hotkeys, F1
F2 F3 ... etc. When I got to the brightness keys (F7, and F8) neither
were recognized. It seems there is an issue with the kernel not picking
up the FN combos for these two keys.

[Bug 350010] [NEW] Nautilus segfault + libbrasero-media.so.0.1.1

2009-03-27 Thread Delvien
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Ubuntu Jaunty Beta 9.04, last updated Friday March 27th at 2PM EST

When inserting a CD-R or CD-RW natilus will continue to open and close 1
window per second. This is due to brasero calling something (I am really
not sure) to open in nautilus. From the looks of it.

Attached is the end of /var/log with the errors.

To resolve the issue I killed nautilus in repetition 5 times and the
problem stopped. I have removed brasero as it seems one of it's
libraries were involved and have not seen any other issues with
inserting CD-media

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
