[Bug 1841354] Re: Show a "Confirm" dialog window when deleting files

2023-12-21 Thread Derek
I'm aware this is a very dated thread, but I absolutely agree with Greg
here. As a plasma user making my way to Gnome, I don't expect the full
customization that I'm accustomed to; however philosophical ideologies
taking a toggle for something like this seems a bit ridiculous and
overstepping.

[Bug 1712279] Re: Can't add google account, shows "credentials have expired"

2023-11-11 Thread Derek
I had this problem in Mint, and what I found is that if there is a
conflicting Google account signed in on Chrome (in my case) it won't
work. I had to log out of that other account, and it began working. So
it seems (as mentioned somewhat, above) that it is very dependent on
what you are signed in on with your browser.

I run a 2nd Google account out of Chrome for work, and use Brave for my
main Google browser -- so each browser uses a different account. Had to
switch both to the same that I wanted Gnome to use (although I suspect
the only one it really needed to be signed in the same with was Chrome).

[Bug 1876286] Re: Evolution reports "Error performing TLS handshake: Internal error in memory allocation."

2020-05-21 Thread Derek Christenson
Jumping in to confirm that I, too, am experiencing this with my Yahoo
IMAP accounts on Evolution 3.28.5-0ubuntu0.18.04.2 running on Linux Mint
19.1. I love using Evolution when working on my Linux workstation, and
I hope it can be fixed. Google accounts still work normally.

Since Flatpak appears to have an older version, and others say that it
hasn't helped, or only did for a short time, I have not tried that.

[Bug 1264368] Re: GLib-CRITICAL **: Source ID was not found when attempting to remove it - warning when leaving Network menu of g-c-c

2018-10-12 Thread Derek Poon
The message is emitted by glib:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/commit/a919be3d39150328874ff647fb2c2be7af3df996

The commit log description is: "gmain: Warn when g_source_remove()
fails". So why is it calling g_critical() instead of g_warning()?
Obviously, it's not a critical error, if people are able to live with
these annoying messages for five years with no obvious ill effects.
Critical errors are often routed to /dev/console, and it's clearly
inappropriate to escalate these messages that high.

[Bug 1220764] Re: Rhythmbox does not add VBR headers when ripping CDs to MP3

2018-01-19 Thread Derek L
This problem still occurs in 17.10. I just ripped a kids music disc via
Rhythmbox using MP3 default settings (=VBR/medium). Files are perceived
(by RB and nautilus) as 32Kbps:

% file 19\ -\ Five\ Days\ Old.mp3
19 - Five Days Old.mp3: Audio file with ID3 version 2.3.0, contains:MPEG ADTS,
layer III, v1, 32 kbps, 44.1 kHz, JntStereo

% mp3val 19\ -\ Five\ Days\ Old.mp3
Analyzing file "19 - Five Days Old.mp3"...
WARNING: "/home/ddl/Music/Laurie Berkner/Lullabies/19 - Five Days Old.mp3": VBR
detected, but no VBR header is present. Seeking may not work properly.

INFO: "/home/ddl/Music/Laurie Berkner/Lullabies/19 - Five Days Old.mp3": 7087
MPEG frames (MPEG 1 Layer III), +ID3v2, no VBR header

I can partly "fix" file metadata (via vbrfix and mp3val -f), but
nautilus and RB then display bitrate as "unknown".

[Bug 1689825] Re: gnome-keyring not unlocked on boot

2017-05-26 Thread Derek Chafin
I use KeePass 2 on Mono so I'm not too bothered by this. Wifi and
NetworkManager still have problems though.

On Google Chrome and likely Chromium I fixed the 2 minute start wait by
adding --password-store=basic the command line. You can add it the Exec
entry in your desktop file or by editing the menu entry with menu-libre
or equivalent.

You will have to sign in to Chrome again if you use their syncing
functionality. I like syncing because I can see history and open tabs
from my phone on my desktop and vice versa.

It seems Chromium uses a plain text password store with the basic option
so you may not prefer this option. I don't use Chromium password storage
since I use KeePass so it works for me.

https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/lkcr/docs/linux_password_storage.md

I have read that PAM is supposed to unlock the keyring as configured in
LightDM (My current display manager) but that's not being done
apparently.

There is alot of garbage on Google about incompatibilities with
autologin. My account is not set to autologin and requires a password to
login.

[Bug 1637333] [NEW] gnome-terminal crashes when tab is dragged onto another tab's terminal area

2016-10-27 Thread Redfern-derek
Public bug reported:

This bug occurs when I drag an existing terminal tab out of the tab bar
and drop it onto the text area of the open terminal. Usually occurs by
accident, to be honest (when I don't mean to drag the tab at all, for
instance) but it's 100% reproducible intentionally.

I found several old bug reports on similar issues, but they were either
not detailed enough to figure out if they were exactly the same or were
closed as duplicates of a bug that no longer exists
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1442826).

Apport generated a report (title: gnome-terminal-server crashed with
SIGABRT in g_assertion_message()) for me and then helpfully explained
that the bug had already been filed. It redirected me to a bug that
doesn't exist (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1595907) though, so I'm
refiling it here.

1. Ubuntu release:
spyro@julep:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS
Release:16.04

2. Package version:
spyro@julep:~$ apt-cache policy gnome-terminal
gnome-terminal:
  Installed: 3.20.2-1ubuntu3~ubuntu16.04.1
  Candidate: 3.20.2-1ubuntu3~ubuntu16.04.1

 3.18.3-1ubuntu1 500
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages
spyro@julep:~$

3. Expected behavior: Tab should split into a new window (as it does if
you drop it onto someplace that's not a gnome-terminal window). At the
worst, it should go back to where it was on the tab bar instead of
crashing.

4. Actual behavior: The whole gnome-terminal window crashes, losing any
activity or work on other tabs. Other open gnome-terminal windows also
crash and close.

nautilus save the ssh host key cache? and how to invalidate

[Bug 903422] Re: Ubuntu does not work with Samsung Galaxy phones (Unable to open raw device 0)

2013-05-22 Thread Derek Simkowiak
There was recently a change to the adb tool. It now does authentication;
the user is prompted to allow a new computer when the phone is
connected to it. The old adb is not compatible.

This change is probably why it fails, even though MTP on the Samsung
Galaxy Nexus previously worked.

I used the new adb (with the authentication) to manually push files.
That worked fine. Trying the other forum posts (like changing the udev
rules) did not work for me.

It was very aggravating to get the cool new phone (Nexus 4) and then not
be able to transfer files to it.

[Bug 988138] Re: Iagno hangs every game or two in Ubuntu 12.04, is very slow to take AI turns, crashes, loops sounds and gives wrong score in the end. Worked fine in 11.10

2012-12-15 Thread Derek
After having played 6 games in a row that I had to kill due to UI locking up
during the AI's thinking (which is much wimpier than before) I have a new
request.
If you guys aren't going to revert this broken version of Iagno, then please
just remove it 'cause it just looks bad.

I suggest replacing it with grhino which appears to actually work.
It may not look as attractive, but the AI responds instantly, and with
intelligent moves. And who cares about looks if the game doesn't work, right?

2012-10-25 Thread Derek
FWIW, it isn't locking up on Hard, it just takes a really really long time
while the GUI goes unresponsive. If I go do something else, and check back in
5-10 minutes, it has unfrozen. I can then take another move. As the board
positions constrain, the freezes become shorter.
The AI is still stupid.
I really suspect all this breakage was due to the rewrite linked in comment #20

Major rewrites do tend to be common sources of bugs.

[Bug 96676] Re: function keys don't work in gnome-terminal

2012-10-20 Thread Derek Chen-Becker
I've read through all of the comments, related bugs, etc, but I'm
wondering: is there any way to fix this via termcap or without changing
code for gnome-terminal? Otherwise xterm seems to be the only option for
me to run emacs in a tmux session because many of my bindings are Ctrl-
Fx.

2012-10-20 Thread Derek
So. I'd like to note that if you play on Hard.
1) Hard is now a lot easier (either that or I've gotten a lot better, but I
don't think so)

2) It locks up almost every single game. In fact, I have yet to finish a game
on hard due to lockups. It doesn't crash (at least yet)
but it goes completely unresponsive until I get bored and kill it 5-10 minutes
later.

BTW, most egregious example of that scoring bug. Winning with a board
sweep while the score reports a 19:19 tie.

[Bug 988138] Re: Iagno hangs every game or two in Ubuntu 12.04, is very slow to take AI turns, crashes, loops sounds and gives wrong score in the end. Worked fine in 11.10

I guess I should check to see if the errors exist prior to this commit. Looks
like a port and a major rewrite.
Just offhand, one thing is the undo history seems to assume a move occurs.
That might explain undo prob in last comment? Anyway. Ports do create bugs.

[Bug 661494] Re: Request to limit xinit writes to .xsession-errors to some reasonable value, such as 10 megs

2012-08-05 Thread Derek
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 589275 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/589275

So, today had an experience w/ a runaway nx client that wrote 44 gigs to
~/.gnomerc-errors in a matter of minutes.

Presumably the uniq -c approach from the prior comment would have
prevented that, although I don't know if there's a handy wrapper layer
in between. I believe the client had a direct handle to the error file.

Just thought I'd mention in terms of sucking up disc space.

2012-07-15 Thread Derek
Yet another bug in this buggy buggy version. If the AI does multiple
moves (you slipped up and he got a bunch of moves due to no open
positions for you), you can't undo past all the moves. It appears that
as soon as you try one undo, the horribly slow AI thinking freezes
everything up, and you can't do anything until it redoes the move.
There's no way to get past it. At least, have only had this happen
once, but I tried undoing 5 times without any better results.

So, interestingly, when it closes suddenly without being prompted for an
error report, it seems to be when the AI has a piece left, and he cannot
capture anything and I can't capture his piece.

At that point, boom. No more game window. Probably a crash although I
haven't checked it in GDB.

Anyway. Just one more thing in this overall broken version.
Revert to previous version!

So. Yeah, the AI is quite a bit dumber, but here's another score that was
entertaining to post.
Final stats.
Light: Human
Dark: AI
Dark: 20
Light: 13

Light player wins!

Yes, the message contradicts the score :)
(actual score on the board was Dark: 0 Light: 38 - AI didn't move for like 7
years or so)

And, yeah, Iagno still regularly crashes, although trying to search for
it on errors.ubuntu.com doesn't seem to work.

2012-06-17 Thread Derek
So, it looks like the reason the score is so wildly off on some games
(07-32 instead of 00-42 in last game) is that the score is only updated
when the AI captures. In this case, I made 7 moves, he made one, then I
made 3 more.

For those 10 moves I made, the score did not budge.

Someone really broke this game. IMO it should be reverted to whatever it
was in the last release.

BTW, the not opening a second window thing seems to impact some other
games too. Tetravex for example has that problem. Klotski does not.

If this adds any info at all, it still happens after having moved to the
MATE window manager (which is awesome btw).

Oh. Also, the incorrect scores are a little odd in just how far off they
are.

I won 0-44 but the score is 13-27 - also odd in that I only captured 4
on the last turn.

Oh. One thing that *is* different in MATE is that I can't open a 2nd window of
Iagno as I could in the past in Gnome 2. If I launch Iagno from the window
manager or commandline and there is already one instance of the program
launched, it exits immediately.
This obviously leaves an empty loading window for a little while in MATE.

This does work in Unity which makes me wonder if the overall brokenness
might be related to some change in Iagno itself. Some sort of
client/server change that was intended to make it work w/ the new window
management, and broke things entirely.

Found another interesting symptom. After the usual lag and darkening
window when AI was trying to move, I took a turn. It hung a bit, and
after the turn, instead of my move having been taken, the AI had taken a
move instead and the entire row was the AI colour. I hit undo a few
times, and the pattern of play did not match the last few moves we'd
taken.

Rally feels like someone added buggy threading in this version.
Guess I'd need to find out 'sactly what version of Iagno Ubuntu is using and if
any changes were made to it.

[Bug 988138] Re: Iagno hangs every game or two in Ubuntu 12.04. Pulse Audio related?

2012-05-08 Thread Derek
So. I don't think it has anything to do with pulseaudio, since it hangs and the
window greys out even with sound completely disabled.
I haven't gotten it to completely lock up though, so it could be that it only
actually crashes if it is trying to play sounds when it locks.

As for Tha's AI theory - maybe? But it probably means someone really
screwed up something that worked great in 11.10 - perhaps related to
adding that annoying top message area that makes the game area resize.

[Bug 988138] Re: Iagno hangs every game or two in Ubuntu 12.04. Pulse Audio related?

2012-05-08 Thread Derek
Another hilarious way that Iagno is now screwed up.
I just finished a game, after many freezes and delays.

Keep in mind this is only against the level 1 AI. And yet it still
crawls along and frequently hangs when it used to respond almost
instantly. Nonetheless it seems as dumb as ever or even dumber, so if
anything was done to the AI it made it worse.

Anyway. On to the amusingness.
After winning it gives the score:
Dark (AI): 06 Light (me): 57

Actual score?
Dark (AI): 04 Light (me): 60

[Bug 988138] Re: Iagno hangs every game or two in Ubuntu 12.04

2012-04-27 Thread Derek
Tested in non-2D Unity, lag still happens.
Can get so bad that the window greys out just because the AI is thinking.

Did they remove an AI thread, or did the AI get a lot dumber?
It used to be even level 3 AI on this computer completed almost instantly.

Anyway it hung, looped music, and crashed in Unity as well.

It does seem to be Pulse Audio related.

[Bug 988138] [NEW] Iagno hangs every game or two in Ubuntu 12.04

2012-04-24 Thread Derek
Public bug reported:

Following is spammed to ~/.xsession-errors - might be related.

** (iagno:30066): CRITICAL **: computer_player_move: assertion `self !=
NULL' failed

Once it hangs, if it is playing sounds of pieces, those loop indefinitely.
You can't close it using the X in the app window, or quit in the left Unity 2D
bar.

You have to open a terminal and issue a kill.

After the kill, this is spammed to .xsession-errors.

unity-2d-shell: [WARNING]
QDBusError(org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod, No such
interface `org.ayatana.bamf.application' on object at path
/org/ayatana/bamf/application890181547)

Also, I really really dislike the new error message that shows up on
illegal moves. I assume that used to be in the footer of the app
window, I can't recall. All I know is that every time it shows up, the
playing area shrinks slightly, which is really distracting.

Oh, also, the application seems to be overall much more sluggish than in
the prior release.

[Bug 891852] Re: Unusable IP Information table and partial obstruction of Ping tab.

2011-11-23 Thread Derek White
Bug has been updated.

In addition, I left a note on Bug #856387 to let them know the table on
the Ping tab is affected too.

** Attachment removed: Devices tab

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-nettool/+bug/891852/+attachment/2600236/+files/gnome-nettool-devices.png

** Summary changed:

- Unusable IP Information table and partial obstruction of Ping tab.
+ Network Tools: Obstruction of Ping tab contents.

** Description changed:

- The Devices' tab's IP Information table has only about 10px worth of
- viewing space - making the window larger does not make the table bigger.
- It is completely unusable.
-
- Additionally, the default window size (which is not remembered between
- launches) does not allow for the Ping tab's graph to be fully displayed
- - even the legend gets cut off, let alone the graph it self. The Details

[Bug 891852] [NEW] Unusable IP Information table and partial obstruction of Ping tab.

2011-11-17 Thread Derek White
Public bug reported:

The Devices' tab's IP Information table has only about 10px worth of
viewing space - making the window larger does not make the table bigger.
It is completely unusable.

Additionally, the default window size (which is not remembered between
launches) does not allow for the Ping tab's graph to be fully displayed
- even the legend gets cut off, let alone the graph it self. The Details
table also suffers the same issue as described above on the Devices tab.

2011-11-17 Thread Derek White
This last one is of the Ping tab, after 5 pings, with the Details
expanded. As you can see, there is a TON of wasted space. The graph does
expand with the window size; however, just like the IP Information table
(Devices tab), the Details table does not expand.

[Bug 890041] [NEW] Untitle Document opens when opening a document using `gksu[do] gedit /path/to/file`.

2011-11-13 Thread Derek White
Public bug reported:

$ gedit # opens untitled document
$ gedit /path/to/file  # opens file
$ sudo gedit /path/to/file  # opens file
$ gksu gedit /path/to/file # opens file untitled document
$ gksudo gedit /path/to/file # opens file untitled document

The Untitled Document should only be opened when no file is provided,
according to `man gedit`.

Additionally, when Untitled Document is opened unexpectedly via
gksu[do], its tab icon is shown as the rotating loading icon.
Occasionally the icon will stop spinning, when the tab is focused/un-
focused it will continue spinning, until it freezes again. On the other
had, when I expect Untitled Document to be opened (e.g. `gedit`), its
tab icon is the proper plain-text icon.

[Bug 890054] [NEW] Ctrl+A does not select text when searching.

2011-11-13 Thread Derek White

[Bug 890055] [NEW] File properties information no longer expands to fit dialog.

2011-11-13 Thread Derek White
Public bug reported:

right-click Properties

In previous versions, the Name:, Location:, etc. fields would expand
to fit the window width.

Now, they are always truncated to about 50% of the dialog's default
width. See attached screen-shot.

This is a horrible usability problem and makes the Search (Ctrl-F)
feature almost useless - I cannot track down the file's location.

Either having the ability to see the full Location in the dialog or the
search results having an open containing folder context-menu option
would resolve this issue.

[Bug 886395] Re: Desktop icon's text no longer condenses when long.

2011-11-09 Thread Derek White
Keep Aligned was and is still turned on. In the first pic the icons
were as close together as keep aligned would let them be (0 icons worth
of space in between). In this new pic, the icons are separated by 1 icon
worth of space, again according to keep aligned.

Whether the icon is selected or not, the text never condenses at all.

Further testing:
The text will eventually condense - I tripled the name of the second (from
left) icon and it did eventually condense.

However, not soon enough to make anything readable with the minimum
icon separation dictated by Keep Aligned. I expected it to condense
enough to not interfere with neighboring icons, but instead it did not
condense and did interfere.

[Bug 787465] Re: View-Show MenuBar isn't working in 11.04 and later in gnome-terminal

2011-11-09 Thread Derek White
Just wanted to note that using Gnome Classic (no unity plugin or global
menubar app) and launching `gnome-terminal --window-with-profile=trans

window flashes, the prompt moves down to make room, and the menubar
appears with another flash. This occurs whether or not the profile

Re: [Bug 775188] System Monitor - does not display all CPUs

2011-10-20 Thread Derek
Hello Pedro,

This issue does not exist for me under Oneiric Ocelot on the live CD,
nor the full desktop installation. This only existed with Natty Narwhal.
The only change is that now it displays CPU1, CPU2, CPU3, and CPU4,
rather than the 0 to 3. Everything is working well with the system
monitor in the new version. Let me know if you would still like me to
test out the live CD for Natty, if you think that would help.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test
with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about
it at http://www.ubuntu.com/download . Thanks again and we appreciate
your help.

[Bug 873763] Re: menubar settings for new terminals are ignored in gnome-shell

2011-10-14 Thread Derek Monner
I see this behavior as well under Unity, even with global menus disabled
(i.e. I uninstalled indicator-appmenu). Even with the profile setting
Show menubar by default in new terminals unchecked, when I launch a
new gnome-terminal, the menubar is displayed. As Victor described, the
Show menubar option in the View menu is unchecked. If I check this
option (to show the menu) and then un-check it again, the menubar goes
away, but only for the current terminal. A menubar is again shown the
next time I start a terminal.

[Bug 221363] Re: Policy Kit Unlock Buttons Greyed Out when using NX / VNC / LTSP

2011-09-12 Thread Derek Simkowiak
Milan said in #62: Have a look at files in /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/
and try to guess what are the files you need to edit. Then it's probably
useful to file bugs so that it's fixed upstream, if applicable.

What are the criteria to know what files need to be edited? I saw
org.freedesktop.SystemToolsBackends.policy and gdm.policy mentioned above.
Are those the only two?

Would it be more correct to replace every allow_active with
allow_any in 100% of those files? There are 25 files that say
allow_active in them.

I want to help fix this bug, which means filing a bug report for every
package that needs a revised policy file, like gdm and system-tools-
backends:

root@cst8:/usr/share/polkit-1/actions# dpkg -S gdm.policy
gdm: /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/gdm.policy
root@cst8:/usr/share/polkit-1/actions# dpkg -S
org.freedesktop.SystemToolsBackends.policy
system-tools-backends:
/usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.SystemToolsBackends.policy
root@cst8:/usr/share/polkit-1/actions#

I just don't understand what criteria to use to know which other
packages should have a bug filed.

[Bug 846808] Re: PolicyKit button doesn't allow authenticating

2011-09-11 Thread Derek Simkowiak
First: I did not see Authentication agent listed when I ran gnome-
session-properties on my 11.04 server. I did not see it on my Ubuntu
10.04 workstation, either. Not sure what's up with that.

However, you did identify the root of the problem. I did not mention
that I am using VNC. When I log in locally (with a physical keyboard
and monitor), then I am able to Click to make changes and change my
hostname.

When I log in using a physical keyboard, it looks like this when I run
who (my username is ubuntu):

  ubuntu tty8 2011-09-11 18:33 (:0)

But when I log in with VNC, it looks like this:

  ubuntu2011-09-11 18:32 (127.0.0.1:1)

I am guessing the difference between (:0) and (127.0.0.1:1) is why my
VNC session is not authorized to make changes. So I am marking this bug
as invalid.

Thank you for your help. I'm off to read the PolicyKit documentation
now... but if you could give me a hint as to where I need to add
127.0.0.1:1 it would be much appreciated :)

[Bug 846808] [NEW] gnome-network-admin menu entry does not use gksu

2011-09-10 Thread Derek Simkowiak
Public bug reported:

I want a desktop GUI method to change my hostname. So I apt-get install
gnome-network-admin.

But now when I go to System Administration Network, the program
network-admin says Not authorized to make changes. I must manually
launch a shell and run gksu network-admin. (This is using the admin
account created during install, which is a member of the admin and adm
groups.)

It should just prompt me for my password. I see no way to edit the
system hostname without going to a shell.

[Bug 794682] [NEW] Default save location is not helpful.

2011-06-08 Thread Derek White
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gedit

I deleted my ~/Documents folder. This is where gedit usually defaults to
save items, right? (going on this assumption)

Well, since it's not there, gedit defaults to use Filesystem.

This is not helpful at all.

I believe it should default to the home directory (~/) if it cannot find

[Bug 628899] Re: Crash when testing speakers

2011-05-12 Thread Derek
In my case, problem went away after killing pulseaudio and restarting
it.

Interestingly, while gnome-volume-control showed both audio sources
(digital/analog), pavucontrol only listed the HDMI one, and even though
gnome-volume-control showed analog as selected, muting the visible HDMI
source in pavu, muted the gnome volume.

Killing pulse, and restarting, listed both sources in pavu, and the
assertion stopped happening.

[Bug 275353] Re: [Enhancement] Add a flexible spacer in the panel objects

2011-04-21 Thread Derek Price
I have no idea how hard this fix is to implement, but as a long time
Ubuntu fan, I can say that this has been annoying me a long time, and
usually does happen during initial setup of a new machine during all the
monitor resizes in the monitor configuration step. I also currently
have Ubuntu setup inside a VMWare virtual machine which basically
resizes the monitor to full screen mode every time I log in and the
VMWare Tools application starts. This leaves the applets that should be
on the right sitting in the middle of my panels with every login.
Unlocking and moving them all every login is a serious pain.

[Bug 663135] Re: gdm broken after update to 10.10 - instant session end - signal 15 - after login

2011-02-17 Thread Derek Chen-Becker
Well, I don't know if this is the same for everyone, but I found the
culprit on my machine. I added some debug statements inside of
/etc/gdm/Xsession to figure out how the session was loaded and that led
me to the directory

/etc/X11/Xsession.d/70fglrx_32bit_dri

When the file inside got sourced by Xsession, it crashed things. dpkg
stated that this directory wasn't owned by any package so I moved it out
of /etc/X11/Xession.d and now I'm logging in just fine.

Here's the diff on /etc/gdm/Xsession (not /etc/X11/Xsession!).

** Patch added: Diff on Xsession to add some logging

2011-02-16 Thread Derek Chen-Becker
I'm getting the signal 15 in gnome-session. Is there any log or means to
debug gnome-session startup to figure out what is crashing? I can log in
fine on the terminal and then run startx.
