[Bug 974963] Re: [soundnua]: hdmi audio missing in sound settings
I have a similar hardware setup, and the same problem. When my HDMI TV goes on standby or of, the E350 integreated graphics card's HDMI sound out is no longer listed as a audio device under sound settings. My workaround is to log out and back in again. Unpluging the HDMLI and plugging it in again also brings the sound back to life. Restarting pulse does not work for me, neither does it help to send noise to the HDMI port. I see Beltrachi says it works for him, though that was from bringing the machine up again from suspension. My PC stays on. I am using Ubuntu 12.04 with unity. Attached is the output of also-info.sh when the sound works. The sound not working case, will fillow shortly. ** Attachment added: also-info.sh output when Sound over HDMI works https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/974963/+attachment/3443713/+files/alsa-info.txt.ORh8O4PcpB%20sound%20works -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/974963 Title: [soundnua]: hdmi audio missing in sound settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/974963/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1041567] [NEW] Connecting to server discards custom port when changing Type
Public bug reported: (This is a small usability issue.) When I use the Connect to Server dialog in Nautilus I fill in the dialog from top down. My FTP server is on a custom port. I now have my IP addres and custom port filled in. When I change the drop down from Public FTP to FTP (with login), as the server requires log in, the dialog discards my custom port but keeps my IP address. This is a frustrting little paper cut that I encounter quite often. I think the dropdown change should not discard a custom port, if the user entered one. Another solution could be changing the type drop down to the first line of the dialog. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1041567 Title: Connecting to server discards custom port when changing Type To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1041567/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 549374] Re: Applications running in wine show wrong icon
I am experiencing this problem as well. I am using Ubuntu 12.04 with wine 1.5.8 (But saw this problem on the normal wine 1.3 package as well.) No matter what wine app I run, the Unity launcher gives it the google sketchup icon. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/549374 Title: Applications running in wine show wrong icon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/549374/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
