[Bug 114232] gdm won't start the first time; second does
Public bug reported: At boot, gdm won't display the usual greeting prompt. Screen remain black, with mouse cursors rotating, for 20-30 seconds. Then, X restart automatically, ad gdm shows the correct login prompt. From the syslog I can see than the first time, gdmgreeter exit immediately, causing some automatism to restart X server. This time gdmgreeter starts correctly. I normally configure gdm for automatic login; whit this behaviour it show me a prompt (no automatic login). I tried to purging ad reinstalling gdm, but this makes no difference. ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- gdm won't start the first time; second does https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/114232 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 73508] Re: Log windows does not show some logs
The bug report I've filled is against dapper version of gaim (1:1.5.0+1.5.1cvs20051015-1ubuntu10) which I'm using right now - never updated to edgy or feisty... probably the cvs version taken already had that feature, maybe incomplete.. -- Log windows does not show some logs https://launchpad.net/bugs/73508 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 73508] Re: Log windows does not show some logs
Eh, no.. I tried edgy (dist-upgrade from dapper) but I never arrived at the desktop, due to 3dfx bug and over issues.. so I decided to stay with dapper (format reinstall). The log was recorded before, anyway.. with the official gaim version of dapper. It seems that gaim save log with this name format, but don't know how to handle it. I've noticed this bug searching for a conversation, that does not appear on the log window, but is recorded on the file I've talked to on the first post.. -- Log windows does not show some logs https://launchpad.net/bugs/73508 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 73508] Log windows does not show some logs
Public bug reported: Some times gaim save the conversation log on files named like 2006-11-16.202032+0100CET.txt. Conversations saved on files like that are not displaied on the log window.. ** Affects: gaim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Log windows does not show some logs https://launchpad.net/bugs/73508 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 60105] Re: paste not functional (half)
Hi. I've read the response of the developer. I think that the problem is not that. He don't wont the user able to randomly edit the text area, and this is ok, but I can paste anything via edit-paste, and for anything I mean really anything, even phrases. I can use edit- paste or ctrl-v, or middle button. But not the quicker (and more immediate) method, right-button-paste. To me, he have to disable all of this, if he want to enforce control over user input. Paste something in it is a usefull thing. And it is possible. But not in the more natural way. Is it possible to catch paste from the contextual menu and append it like the over ways? -- paste not functional (half) https://launchpad.net/bugs/60105 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 60105] paste not functional (half)
Public bug reported: If I copy a number in another program and try to paste it on the calculator (right click - paste), the menĂ¹ is mostly disabled. But if I go to edit - paste, all works ok. I think that it should work from the contextual menu too.. ctrl-C ctrl-V work, but not shift-canc shift- ins. ** Affects: gcalctool (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- paste not functional (half) https://launchpad.net/bugs/60105 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
