[Bug 921071] Re: sometimes stop playing when going from an mp3 to an ogg (related to transcoding)
Sebastien Bacher: I have installed the list of packages that were suggested by Jamie Strandboge in post #23 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gst-plugins- base0.10/+bug/921071/comments/23), and from the initial tests it seems that quodlibet (using gstreamer) is now working correctly. So thank you for the fix, and Jaime thank you for listing what exactly to install. I would add (for anyone trying the proposed versions) that after just trying to install some of those packages, it didn't work (nor should I have expected it). I would also add that some packages will be removed while installing this, since they depended on the old versions (for instance my wine package got removed because of broken dependecies). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/921071 Title: sometimes stop playing when going from an mp3 to an ogg (related to transcoding) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gstreamer/+bug/921071/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 921071] Re: daap served files sometimes stop playing when going from an mp3 to an ogg (related to transcoding)
This bug seems to affect me as well after playing an mp3, if the next file is ogg it just stops at 0:00. If I skip, or fast forward or anything, it will work. Test on a bunch of files transcodec from different disc and in different times. But there is an important twist - it happens in quodlibet player, which uses gstreamer, when playing local files. Which should mean that the problem is not with daap served files, but mainly in the mp3 to ogg playback. Additionally it happens in the same manner if I use an wma file instead of an mp3. Maybe it has to do something with the ugly codecs? (k)ubuntu 12.04; gstreamer 0.10.36.0; quodlibet 2.4 (quodlibet is from an additional ppa) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/921071 Title: daap served files sometimes stop playing when going from an mp3 to an ogg (related to transcoding) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gstreamer/+bug/921071/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 881257] [NEW] brasero doesn't burn
Public bug reported: I'm using ubuntu 11.10 on dell inspiron 4030 intel architecture, i've tried several times using brasero since 10.10 and it seems burning on ubuntu is never a choice. The burning process is going fine, i selected the minimum speed 10x for data cd option then after the burning process completed, the app tried ejecting the cd tray and the error message appeared stating i need to eject the tray, when i ejected the tray, another message appeared saying the burning process is not finished(somehow i forgot the response message but it's something like that), and when i ejected the cd tray and reinserted it hoping that the autoplay appears and load the file, in fact, nothing happened and when i checked the cd, there's no track seen on the cd!! [Bug 517021] Re: gvfsd-metadata causes 100% CPU usage
Yes, mucku Your solution worked in my laptop. It seems that ~/.local/share/gvfs- metadata/ folder contain metadata from network that I have connected with. The problems is, I only connected to those network once. Nautilus/gvfsd seems to crawl any network (specially samba network) when I'm connected to the network in my office and in some hotspot area. When I back home, gvfsd try to update the metadata by reopen the samba network folder that of course not exist in my home network. So, I suspect that this is the cause of gvfsd-metadata to taking whole CPU resource to try to find the 'missing' directory and read it's content to update the metadata. Deleting metadata files will make the gvfsd 'forget' those directories. -- gvfsd-metadata causes 100% CPU usage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/517021 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 223023] Re: No way to cancel a CD extraction
This bug is more serious than previously though. I tried extracting from a scratched CD on my dual core Intel Core 2 Duo running at 2.33 GHz. The extraction appeared to be frozen for twenty minutes, and the entire time, my load average hovered around 4.58!!! I couldn't even double click an icon on my Desktop to launch Gedit without having to wait OVER A MINUTE for it to appear. I recommend escalating the Low priority of this bug immediately. -- No way to cancel a CD extraction https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/223023 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
