[Bug 339971] [NEW] cannot delete evolution-mapi account

2009-03-09 Thread EMallory
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Cannot completely delete mapi account
Calendar,Tasks,Memo,Address books still exist.
Cannot delete Calendar,Tasks, Memos,Addressbooks individually (Error could not
delete ) Tasks and Memos do not display an error, but they are not
deleted either.

Steps:
1. Create ane evolution-mapi account that is attached to an exchange 2007 server
2. Verify calendar/mail/address book connectivity.
3. Delete said account from the Edit->Preferences->Mail Accounts window
4.Shutdown evolution.
5. run evolution --force-shutdown
6. remove ~/.evolution directory
7. restart evolution.

The Calendar Tasks and Memos will still be visable and I believe them to
be orphaned.

Re: [Bug 172599] Re: Evolution Will not send mail via Exchange 2007

2008-02-11 Thread EMallory
Keep in mind error is MAIL FROM command failed: client does not have
permissions to send as this sender. Which says to me that the "from"
information is erroneous... somehow...

Re: [Bug 172599] Re: Evolution Will not send mail via Exchange 2007

2008-02-11 Thread EMallory
I tried that too, to no avail. I just double check what I did. Tried some
different possiblities like
ad\username which does not work at all ( prompts for password three times
and fails)
or ad/username also does not work at all (same as above)

logon and NTLM/SPA both receive the same error message
"client does not have permissions to send mail" which tells me it is
connecting and it is communicating enough to parse an error message from the
server. But its not sending the "right" information to the exchange server.
I feel I should be entering ad\ but that doesn't seem to make it
to the point that its authenticating.

Hope this helps you help me!
Thanks for your time!

right.. and the problem exists trying to access it internally.

We don't use a VPN internally, so I doubt that vpn is the issue.

Nope we're using encrypted transport for smtp. I tried about every combo I

[Bug 172599] Evolution Will not send mail via Exchange 2007

2007-11-28 Thread EMallory
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Client Configuration:
Sending Mail Tab
Server: SMTP
TLS encryption
Authentication Type NTLM/SPA

OS Ubuntu 7.10
Evolution 2.12.1

When I attempted to send mail from Evolution via an Exchange 2007 sever with
the above configuration I get the following error:
MAIL FROM command failed: Client does not have permissions to send as this
sender

I have talked wilt the exchange administrator who assures me my account
has all the necessary permissions. I installed Thunderbird with the
exact same settings, (it pulled the configuration from Evolution) and
was able to send mail just fine.

I used wireshark to dump the network conversation between evolution and
exchange, as the transmissions were encrypted, I was not able to discern
anything.
