[Bug 1241101] Re: Java crash in libglib-2.0 after upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10
NetBeans 8 also crashes the first time you launch it and works ok the second time. [Bug 1225201] [NEW] Nautilus memory leak when thumbnailing jpeg2000 images
Public bug reported: Nautilus starts with under 300 MB and after thumbnailing some jp2 files (JPEG 2000) memory ends up above 900 MB. Closing all nautilus windows does not release the memory. Memory is only freed when doing nautilus -q. The more files is thumbnails the more memory is uses. Steps to reproduce: Drop a few jp2 files in a folder (I tested with lossless jpeg2000 files about 3000 by 3000) Quit nautilus (nautilus -q) Start nautilus again and open the folder containing jp2 files. Watch memory go up as nautilus is thumbnailing each file. Close nautilus (ALT-F4 or clicking in the red cross), memory is never released. Quit nautilus (nautilus -q) and memory is freed. Valgrind is very helpful, apparently libpixbufloader-jasper.so is used to read jp2 files. ==3829== 325,112,688 bytes in 11 blocks are possibly lost in loss record 12,461 of 12,461 ==3829==at 0x4C2CD7B: malloc (in /usr/lib/valgrind/vgpreload_memcheck-amd64-linux.so) ==3829==by 0x72AC150: gdk_pixbuf_new (in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so.0.2800.0) ==3829==by 0x288C42CE: ??? [Bug 806848] Re: unity-panel-service at 100% cpu when opened /w rb without album cover
Still happens with precise pangolin alpha (32 bits) with rhythmbox when the album cover is missing. CPU does not get to 100%, just 70% and memory does not grow as fast, maybe because this is a 32 bit platfrorm. [Bug 658004] Re: brasero claims dvd image is too large for disc
Same happened with a DVD-R. The ISO image is 4706660352 bytes. Brasero refuses to burn it in a Verbatim DVD-R. K3B burns it correctly and reports Track 01: Total bytes read/written: 4706660352/4706660352 (2298174 sectors). DVD-R format has 2298496 2048-byte sectors totalling 4707319808 bytes of capacity. [Bug 589299] Re: Can't unlock screen when using a password-less account
Uninstalling gnome-screensaver solves the issue. Obviously you lose the screensaving functionality, but you can switch users with the fast user switch applet. When password is needed GDM asks for it, not the gnome- screensaver locked screen. ** Changed in: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- Can't unlock screen when using a password-less account https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/589299 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
